neutral oranges and blues danced in the sky, while the sun peeped out of it's hiding spot among the clouds. the peaceful scenery was interrupted with a bang, while smoke emerged from a certain area far in the distance.
the loud sound frightened hana, waking her up with a jolt. "who's there?" she looked around, only to be welcomed by the comfort of meka. her shoulders sprung up once more when another bang followed and rumbled the ground.
the now shaken young girl jumped out of her mech in fear, lifting the sheets off of it... and entering back in. paranoid was the only word that could describe how hana felt inside. she stretched out her body, yawning and cracking a few knuckles before laying her hands back on the joysticks.
but before she started meka up, she reached inside a component in which stored all her food and drinks. her hand grabbed onto something that sounded crinkly, like a chip bag of some-sort. so when she pulled her hand back into her view; she was met by a red bag full of doritos.
if it was the last bag, then maybe she should've saved it for later. hana peeped further inside to check if it was– just incase.
but, since she always had a weird obsession with unhealthy chips, her stash was crowded with bags of it. why did she even doubt not having enough food? living off doritos was the only thing she needed, right? she popped open the bag she was holding and started snacking on the chips as a morning breakfast. she herself honestly questioned how she managed to stay in shape.
hana was peacefully savoring her snack, until more loud bangs started ringing into the air, making her idle her chewing. it was about time she figured what that weird noise was. meka's legs rose back up from it's sitting position and headed foward.
as predicted, all the mud on the floor that previously formed was all dry and solid. the prominent traces that meka left in the dirt was a good indication to where hana would be located at if anyone needed to trace her. but... it was also a bad give-away to any zombies that still held some sort of consciousness.
the closer she got, the foggier the view became because of how the smoke spread. and even without the smoke, the air was already pretty foggy as is. but this only caused hana to start coughing from the lack of air.
mid-cough; and out of absolutely no-where, the left side of meka started to rapidly shake. "huh?" hana lifted one of her eyebrows, trying to turn the mech around to see if she could spot anything that may be occurring the problem. it was no use, the fog had become way too thick to see anything anymore.
just when the poor girl thought she had enough surprises in one day, a noisy tapping started above her. something was on top of meka... and it slowly but surely made it's way to the turquoise screen.
a nasty, sickening, foul-skinned zombie had latched onto the front of the mech, now blocking the outside view completely. hana didn't know what to do, since she didn't have a window-wiping mechanic or anything that could possibly get rid of it.
