Her Messiah

Chapter Three

After a few days na nasa hospital, Eve is finally released and is now allowed to go but she have to drink some medicine for her anemia and she have to eat 3 meals a day. After some talking and stuff ay umuwi na sila sa bahay ng lolo nya na bahay na niya since sabi ng lolo nya ay sa kanya na daw and mga ari- arian nito.

She don't know why her grandpa Carlo gave it to her nor why he is so kind to her because ang naaalala nya ay sabi ng kanyang ina ay strict daw ito. Anong nangyari? But it doesn't matter anymore, what's important is yung maalagaan at mapanatili niyang maayos ang mga pamana sa kanya.

Bumaba na si Evangelic sa kotse when they arrived. The driver took her things inside habang sya naman ay dumiretso sa garden ng bahay.

The garden is covered in Bermuda grass and different kind of trees like pine trees, mango trees, ilang-ilang trees, and more. Meron ding kinds ng flower na nakasort-out. Like the sunflowers, they are placed on the right side of the garden along with other flowers.

In the middle of the whole garden naman ay may pavilion na may table and seats. Pumunta si Eve sa pavilion at naupo sa table hindi sa chair.

"Bakit ka nandito?" Sabi ng isang boses mula sa entrance ng garden. Eve looked at the person who asked and saw that it's Messiah.

Why is he here? She thought bago bumaba sa table at nag lakad palapit kay Messiah.

"I should be the one asking that. Why are you here in my place?" She asked hanggang sa makalapit sya.

"Dito na ko titira. Nakausap ko na yung mga katulong nasa kwarto ko na yung gamit ko." Sabi nito habang nakangiti ng nakakaloko.

"Huh? Bakit dito? Why did they let you in without even asking me? Those idiots. Lagot sila sakin." Eve said at akmang pupunta na sa loob nang may papel na humarang sa paningin niya. Tinignan niya ito at nakitang may nakasulat. She looked at him before grabbing the paper out of his hand and reading it.

Her eyes widened when she saw kung ano ang nakasulat rito. It is a letter saying that him, Messiah, is to stay at their house at bantayan lagi si Evangelic. And what's more is that may pirma ito ng Grandpa Carlo. The fact na napaka komplikado ng signature ng lolo nya.

"How? Where did you get this?" She asked with her eyebrows furrowed. Kahit na halatang hindi masaya si Eve ay nakangiti lang si Messiah na parang walang nangyayari. He's so calm and collected kahit na nakakunot ang noo ni Eve.

"A few days before your Grandpa died, he talked to me to take care at bantayan ka. He gave me this para may proof ako dahil alam nyang hindi ka maniniwala kapag walang proof, whether it be written or something." He explained calmly.

Yumuko si Eve at humawak sa white shirt ni Messiah. It was all silent until Eve's silent sobs was heard. Hinawakan ni Messiah ang chin ni Eve para makita nya ang mukha nito saka pinunsan ang mga luha sa kanyang mga mata.

"Grandpa Carlo did this for me?" She asked habang nakatingin sa mga mata ni Messiah. Tumango naman ito kaya napangiti si Eve.

"He really loves you, Eve. Ang tanging gusto lamang niya ay ang makabubuti para sayo." Sabi nito kaya naman lalong naiyak si Eve.
"Grandpa..." She said between sobs. Niyakap naman siya Messiah to comfort her while she is holding on his shirt tightly.

Nang onti-onti na siyang tumahan ay humiwalay na si Eve from the hug at nag-punas ng mata.

"Sorry." Sabi ni Eve kaya naman nag-taka yung isa.

What is she sorry for? He thought, confusion visible on his face.

"Yung damit mo kasi, nadumihan ko na. Sorry." Sabi ni Eve. Dahil dito, hindi napigilan ni Messiah at natawa nalang sya.
