Chapter Six

3rd day of Detention

Eve is currently sitting inside the same Cafe where she decided to wait for Messiah everyday until his detention is over.

Mas mabuti na daw kasi na sabay na lang din silang umuwi para makatipid na at para alam nilang walang mapapahamak.

Evangelic was drinkng hot chocolate habang nag lalaro sa cellphone nang may maaninag siyang familiar na mukhang pumasok sa Cafe.

She looked up to confirm it and then smiled ever so brightly.

"Chiro!" She called causing a black haired boy to look around until his chinky eyes met hers.

"Evangelic?" He said as if he wasn't sure at first but then his face lightened nang masigurado na siya nga ito.

"Evangelic! I missed you!"

Tumakbo si 'Chiro', according to Eve, papunta kay Eve at niyakap ito ng mahigpit.

"Look at you. You look, you look," sabi nito habang pinagmamasdan ang kabuuan ni Eve.

"What? Di mo nanatapos sasabihin mo." Matawa-tawang sabi niya kaya natawa din yung isa habang pailing-iling.

"It's just that you're all grown up pero maliit pa rin. But still, you look gorgeous." Komento niya, medyo nahiya naman si Eve pero hindi rin nakatakas sa pandinig niya ang salitang iyon.

"Maliit? Wow, ah! For your information matangkad ka lang talaga. I'm not small, sakto lang." Depensa naman niya.

Chiro ruffled her hair kaya she slap his hand away before fixing her hair.

"Inaano ka ba ng buhok ko?" She pouted.

"Ang cute mo pa rin." Pinisil ni Chiro ang pisngi nya kaya naman pilit niya itong inalis.

"Ano ba? Tigilan mo nga- Uy, upo na tayo. Pinagtitinginan na tayo, oh."

They both looked around and saw a couple of eyes looking at them.

Tinamaan naman sila biglang ng hiya kaya agad silang umupo habang tatawa-tawa pa.

"Ikaw kasi. You're so noisy, Chiro." Pang-aasar ni Eve and he jokingly glared at her and they both laugh.

"Wait for me. Order lang ako, do you want something?"

"Your treat?" She asked while smirking.

"My treat. Tagal nating hindi nagkita, eh." He smiled at her. Her smirk grew bigger as she thought of something.

"I want some fries and hot chocolate. Paubos na ito, oh." She said,

"Dapat pala hindi tayo lagi nagkikita para lagi mo kong itre-treat." Dagdag pa niya na syang tinawanan nung isa.

"Whatever, Evangelic. Oh, you have a lot of explaining to do." His eyes softened before he added,

"I missed you so much, Evangelic Reyes."

He left to order foods. Napayuko naman si Eve.

Flashback (5 years ago)

"Tita, is Evangelic there?" Tanong ng isang 12 year old na Chiro kay Mrs. Reyes.

"Evangelic is not here, Chiro. She doesn't live here, not anymore."

Dahil sa sagot ay natulala ang batang Chiro.
