LUKE'S POV

I had my doubts about this kid.

I really did.

I thought he was lying and was going to bring her mom and dad.

But then I thought who fakes a divorce?

After talking to him more, I realized he isn't a bad kid.

He's a little broken, but not as bad as Ryder.

When she saw him and hugged him, it was when I realized I'd do anything to get that reaction out of her again.

God I'm so in love with her.

Seeing her like this; worry free, not anxious, happy is a reminder of why I fell in love with her.

Right now we're all playing Uno because she wants Ethan and I to get to know each other more.

"Thank you guys so much for letting me stay here. I just needed to get out of the crazy house." He said.

"Of course, you're her brother and I'd do anything to make her happy." I said.

She looked at me and smiled.

"I see you already do make her very happy." He said.

She giggled and put her head on my shoulder.

"Not just from like this but from your guys' social media posts. I don't think I've seen you smile that much since your graduation day." He said.

"Yeah well he makes me the happiest I've ever been." She smiled kissing his cheek.

"As long as he's not another Brandon, we won't have a problem." He said.

"When'd you get all defensive?" She asked him.

"I figured that since you don't have dad anymore, I'd take his place even though you're older." He shrugged.

"Who's Brandon?" I asked.

"My ex." She said rolling her eyes.

"He had a new girlfriend every week and sadly I fell into his trap." She said.

"God I'd never even think about being like that. I only have eyes for you." I said kissing her.

"Gross!" Ethan yelled.

Ryder and I looked at each other and laughed.
