I walked down the hall and looked for Jake, until I saw his tall figure and blonde hair.
"Jake!" I said, waving him down with a smile. He turned around and smiled at me before pulling me into a hug, which was kinda awkward because of our height difference.
"What's up (Y/N)?" He said as I waved to Rich, who had just walked over.
"I was wondering if you could maybe kinda sorta invite Michael Mell to your Halloween party?" I said awkwardly, while fidgeting with the ends of my jacket, which actually was technically his jacket.
Rich's expression changed from a smile to a shocked look as he looked at Jake to see what he would say. Jake was clearly now avoiding eye contact, his face was all scrunched up in thought, which made his freckles merge together while his cheeks dusted pink.
"Well (Y/N), I don't think I can. Michael seems nice and all but god, he's such a loser."
I glared at him before sighing. "Fine then, if Michael can't go, then I'm not going either!" I said defiantly.
Jakes blue eyes became wide when he heard what I said. He sighed in defeat and gave me a forced smile. "Fine, tell him he's invited then."
"YAAAAY!" I said excitedly, earning concerned glances from Chloe and Brooke when they walked by. I threw my arms around Jakes neck and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks Jake! Love you!" I said happily before running off.
Rich's POV
"Thanks Jake! Love you!" (Y/N) said with an adorable smile before running off.
I felt those words ring through my head a couple times.
Oh come on! My squip said angrily. She's just saying that because she's so happy! You told me you want her to like you, so she will like you!
I blushed awkwardly and tried to be happy for Jake, who looked to be beyond happy. "Dude, she loves me!" He said with a grin, he seemed love sick right now.
Tell him off.
"Jake, you do realize you just invited the biggest loser in school to your party for some dumb girl, right?"
"Jesus fucking Christ! I thought you liked
(Y/N)."
I felt my cheeks heat up before looking at the ground. "I'm sorry man."
His glare softened and he gave me a hug, though it felt more like he was using me as a headrest.
Your POV
I smiled as I ran down the hallway and found Michael, only to see he was fuming. I poked him and smiled. "Hey Michael, I got you an invite to the Halloween party!" I said.
"Really?! (Y/N)!! That's amazing!" He said, giving me a sincere hug and whispering a soft "thank you."
I smiled at him and saw Christine and Veronica just down the hall.
"Hey guys!" I said, waving at them. They smiled and waved back.
"Come on, let's start getting ready for the Halloween party!" I said to them as we all walked out of school together.
