I wake up to find myself in my bed, white walls around me. Recognising the place, I lazily sat up, wondering why there weren't any shouts or curses coming from downstairs. Silence was not something you could expect from this house. Still in my PJs, I make my way to the kitchen. Kris was making pancakes as usual and Ann was telling her about a fat idiot at the place she worked. Mickey was nowhere to be seen.

"Good morning, sleepy head." Ann smiled as she saw me.

I nodded in response and arched my back. Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" I shouted and rushed my steps.

As I turned the knob, a six feet tall figure appeared in front of me. I raised my head and brows to see a slim muscular guy, with orange hair and green eyes breathing a bit harshly.

"Uh, hello?" I greeted, not knowing him.

"Is Mickey here?" he asked walking past me.

I turned my head to see Kris widening her eyes and shooting a merely visible smile. Ann smirked at the guy. They knew him?

"Mickey, come here!" she yelled loudly.

The boy calmed his breath  and turned himself towards Mickey's room.

"The f-" Mickey came out yelling, but stopped as soon as he saw the guy.

His eyes flew open and he was somehow red in the face.

"Ian, why don't you take a sit?" Kris proposed. "You hungry, maybe?"

"I'm starving!" the so called Ian said and sat down.

Kris gave him a plate full of pancakes and syrup. While Mickey, he was still standing there like a frozen statue, his skin now pale.

"Y-you're okay?" he quickly asked, unsure. This wasn't the Mickey I knew.

"I came rushing! That Ralphaelo guy was searching for you. He looked angry." Ian said shoving half a pancake in his mouth.

"Oh." Mickey nodded, still frozen.

"Why are you standing like that?' Ian laughed. "And who is she? She looks cute." he pointed at me.

"I'm Demi."

"I'm Ian!" he replied cheerfully, eating another pancake.

Suddenly he stood up and smiled at Kris.

"Thanks for the pancakes! Delicious as always."

Quickly, he turned Mickey around by his shoulders and started walking to his room.

"I have so much things to tell you! You can't believe what happened this morning.'

Mickey shot a long glare at us before following Ian and closing the door behind them.

I turned to Kris and Ann, who just ignored me and continued the usual routine. Nobody was ever going to tell me anything.

And the day starts.

Me at work, making coffee , hearing old men with their funny voices, groaning once in a while, you know what the waitress job is like.

"I want to dye my hair." I snapped as I turned on the coffee maker.

Kris furrows her eyebrows at me and looks back at the dishes.

"Like, a strange color or something like that." I continue. "How about neon pink?"

"Jesus, you're totally nuts."

"I found it! Dip dyed pink ends!"

"Don't talk to me. Never again." Kris laughed.
