I shut the door to see Marc sitting on the couch with a worried look on his face. He almost jumped when he saw me and ran.
"Demi, are you okay?" he asked giving me a massive hug.
"Yes...Why?" I replied pushing back slowly.
"You have been on TV all day! You can't believe how much I've been worried for you."
"I'm fine, thanks dude. But.. How?"
"I was in the caffeteria and suddenly the TV showed you walking on the sidewalk and then, massive people around you. Some girl hit you and others were ready to hit again.."
"Yes, it happened." I breathed. "Oh Lord."
"I'm glad Harry saved you." he smiled and hugged again.
"Wait, you know him too?" I wondered.
"Everybody knows him!" he replied.
"Who the hell is he anyway?"
"Are you really asking that? He's Denis Styles' son, that billionaire who wanted to buy our neighborhood. He's also a TV star, apparently a singer." Aww he's rich!
"Really? He didn't even act like those rich ass boys.."
"Forget about him! Are you okay?" he asked, worry filling his face.
"Yeah, expect the headache. That girl hit me hard. And I think I forgot my phone back in the house.
"Oh, I got your phone..." Marc looked down.
"Wait, you went to.."
"Demi, your mom...Never mind! What do you want for dinner?" he changed the subject.
"Tell me." I insisted.
"No, come on-"
"Marc."
"Okay, she jumped at me. She was trying to make me have... that.. thing.. with her. I swear I broke right away. I'm so sorry." he put his hands up in the air.
I gulped down hardly. This was the first time I felt so ashamed in front of Marc. All because of my mom.
She ruined my day, once again. Tears formed and I rubbed my eyes to hide them.
Marc's face filled with sadness.
"Hey... I don't care about your mother's actions. I care about you." he spoke softly.
"I'm... I'm going home. It's been a rough day for you, I think."
"Demi, ..."
I took my broken phone from the table and walked away. Marc stood there, not knowing what to do.
