Day of the Game!
Stan's P.O.V
"Stanley! Are you up?!" My mother blares startling me from my bed. I roll off the side of the bed onto the floor "ya!!" I shouted pushing myself off the carpet.
"God damn rug burn" I hiss rubbing my fore arm "there's a boy named Craig at the door! He said he wanted to talk!" I turn my head towards the door with a disgusted look "what the fuck..?"
I peel myself off the floor finding clothes to change into. What could Craig possibly want? I thought we agreed to never talk to each other after the incidents of elementary school.
I thought more about what Craig wanted but couldn't come to a conclusion so I just hurried down stairs with my backpack and football gear. When I reached the end of the stairs I noticed my mother having a conversation with Craig at the open door.
Craig seemed unenthusiastic as usual but my mother on the other hand was having a blast. "Craig?" I question approaching the door with a calm attitude "hey" he muttered, my mother moves aside. "Stan what took you so long?" I sigh ignoring my mother's scowl.
"What do you need?" "I want to talk about football..." he gave me a stern look but just by staring into his blue eyes I could tell there was something else he wanted to talk about.
"Sure?..." I question awkwardly looking from the corner of my eye. My mother smiles "he's going to give you a ride today Stanley. I hope that's okay" "what?" I turn my head unamused "it'll give me time to clean up before your father and I come to see you play at your game today."
I let out a long sigh that made it clear I was frustrated to go with Craig. "Okay I'll see you later" "bye honey" she tries to lean in to give me a kiss but I rush away to avoid embarrassment.
"Bye" I say as brightly possible then quickly shut the door a sigh following behind me. I look at Craig with a slightly angered look "you have some nerve offering to drive me to school" I hiss "knowing that we aren't fond of each other" I continue.
Craig rolls his eyes quickly giving me the finger before turning on his heel toward his truck. I had to say his truck was a lot more nicer then mine I was considering complementing him but remembered we aren't exactly friends.
"Get in" Craig said in a monotone voice, opening the driver's seat slamming the door upon entering. Why did my mother agree to do this?
When we got in the car I noticed right away
Y/n wasn't in the vehicle which was strange considering they are now living together. Man, just thinking about them being together 24/7 made me jealous beyond belief.I turn my head towards Craig and shoot him a stern look "Y/n's not here?" I question starting the conversation but Craig's eyes stay glued to the road. "She had to leave early for cheerleading" he mutters leaving one hand from the wheel to pull at the hem of his sweater.
I shift myself in the leather seat slightly uncomfortable by the raging tension between us. "You have a crush on Y/n, don't you?" I look out the window avoiding eye contact. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't" I whisper, Craig sighs agitated by my response. "I'm surprised that you said that so openly" "well I was planning to-" "of course" he rudely cuts me off.
This guy hated the thought of us being together. I guess I can see why... I'm not any better I didn't want Y/n to be around Craig for the longest time. What does she see in him? Then again she sees something in everyone including myself.
"I hate the thought of you guys together" "I kinda figured but that's not going to stop me" I stated staying confident. I'm not letting Kyle's pep talk go to waste I never want to hear a lecture out of his mouth again.
