Era had awoke to being shook frantically by Villosis. "Wake up! You're gonna be late!" She shouted in his ear. Era jumped up. "You're right lets hurry." He said worriedly. The pair ran out of the building Era being pulled by Villosis. They made it to the ritual sight with out a moment to spare. The elder walked up to Era. "Sprout, you made it. I will explain what you will be doing. You will go the the River and fill this bowl full." She shows him a wooden bowl. "Next you will choose a flower you will crush the petals and drop them into the water. Then you will recite the words All Mother I wish to receive your guidance and follow your ways. I offer my body as a vessel for your justice and will. Lastly you will drink the water." Era nodded. The elder walked up  the alter. "Everyone! An outsider wishes to communicate with the All Mother! If they succeed we will welcome them happily! If they fail they will receive the same two choices as everyone else.  My sprout give it their best and all!" She exclaimed and walked back to Era. "Now go to the alter and retrieve the bowl and fill it." Era nodded and cautiously walked up to the alter. He took a deep breath he couldn't let his nerves stop him. He kneel at the alter and closed his eyes and intertwined his hands. "All Mother guide me through this ritual for I am not accustomed to your ways but I am willing to learn." He muttered. He heard a soft chuckle his eyes shot open and he looked around. "Young sprout you are the first to ask for my guidance. I shall grant it." A soft voice spoke almost a whisper. "All Mother I thank you and I will follow your guidance." Era muttered in reply. "Good now take the bowl young sprout." The All Mother replied. Era nodded and grabbed the bowl and headed for the river he kneel by the river and scooped out some water with the bowl and filled it. He carefully made his way back to the alter trying to not spill a drop. Soon after what seemed like hours Era arrived back at the alter. Surrounding the alter were many flowers of all types and colors from Roses to Honeysuckles. He looked over the flowers once more before his eyes landed on a beautiful deep purple and light blue orchid that seemed to glow. It had a mystifying aura around it that drew him in.

He gently reached for the flower before picking it. He felt as though this flower was to represent him. He carefully crushed the flower over the bowl of water. He sprinkled the remains into the water and waited a moment before picking up the bowl. He breathed in this scent before turning to face the crowd. He felt calm and protected. He brought the bowl to his lips and started to drink the flower water. After a few seconds he finished the water and set the bowl down. He felt a sharp pain in his head. He fell to his knees and clutched his head. The pain soon stopped after a hand touched his head. "Young Sprout, no Young Bud you have faced many hardships in your short existence, yet you feel no resentment to those who have wronged you. You even had the courage to ask for help in a time where you were at a disadvantage. I will give you the three trails. The first strength; for this trial must be rid some bandits that have set up camp in the south eastern part of the forest when you complete this return to the alter." The All Mother said and then disappeared. After she was gone the crowd cheered. Era blinked and stood up a bit off balance. The elder walked over to him. "Bud the ritual is complete and you have received your first trial you can start today or wait." He thought for a moment. "The early bird catches the worm. It's best not to wait, so I will head out now if that's okay?"He asked. The Elder nodded and moved for him to pass. Era looked at the sky and then headed south east like the All Mother had said. By the time he reached the bandits' camp it was sun set. He crouched down in a near by bush and watched the bandits interact. He continued this until night fall and they went to sleep. He conjured a tiny orb of water then stopped he didn't want to kill them. He looked around the area for the guards he saw two. He sighed quietly. He needed to sneak up to them and knock them out. Then he had an idea. He stood up and used his dark/shadow magic that he learned from Lina to make his body transparent and mist-like. He took a deep breath and lurked closer to the camp. He had to concentrate or else this could go completely wrong and he could end up dead. Era took a deep breath and let out a blood curdling scream to grab the attention of the bandits around the camp. The bandits all scrambled to find out where the scream came from. One noticed Era "BOSS A GHOST" The man shouted pointing to Era's mist like form. A woman looks over to Era who just watches them with a pained expression. "Everyone get back! We don't know what that thing is capable of or if it's really a ghost!" She bark as she got into a fighting stance, her brown hair blowing in the wind and a fire in her eyes. Era tries to not show anything that might give him a way, but the menacing glare she gives him almost makes him crack. "Please leave this place it's not safe for you to go any further." Era says looking at the woman with pleading eyes. She scoffs in return. "We can't just leave! We have business here." Era internally panicked. "And what might that be? What's so important that you would defile this sacred land?" His heart beat wildly he wasn't prepared for this they seem like good people he doesn't want to hurt them, but he might have to or else he will fail the test and lose the trust of the All Mother. "We have track a beast to this forest it takes on the form of a young woman and lures our daughters deep into the forest never to be seen again! I want to slay the beast and get my daughter back!" Screamed the chief with tears in her eyes threatening to roll down her olive cheeks as she clutches her sword tightly. Era felt something hot bubble within him. Children were being stolen by a shape-shifting beast. It infuriated him a sinister aura coated his body flowing off in waves. "Why would they do such a thing." He growled out causing the bandits to flinch and take a defensive position. "Will you leave if  we slay the beast and you retrieve the children?" The bandits looked at each other shocked at the ghosts question. "That is assuming that we can find a slay the beast." The chief stated glaring at the figure before them. Era smirked as the haze dissipated from his form."I'll help with that. I'll do a search of any nearby caves or anyplace a beast might hide children." He turned around and walked deeper into the forest and once he was out of ear shot he groaned loudly. "I can't believe I said that I don't know anything about the forest I only know what Villosis showed me..." he started walking in a random direction hoping to stumble across something that could lead him to the beast. He had been walking for half a hour before he came across a clearing. He took a seat to rest for a moment. He closed his eyes for a moment. "Come now don't be scared we're almost there!" Said a familiar female voice that caused Era to open his eyes he caught sight of a white toga and long brown hair. He quickly sat up. "Stop right there!" He shouted as both figures stopped. "Oh! Era you're awake I thought you were still asleep!" Said the taller woman. Once he saw her better he realized that the woman was Villosis. "V-Villosis? What are you doing?" He asked glancing at here and the child that held her hand. "Who is that girl?" Villosis froze and held on tighter to the girls hand. Then took off from the clearing as fast as she could. Why? Why did she run like that it was just a question... unless she is the monster who is kidnapping the daughters of the people in the area.. He thought before he chased after her calling for her to stop he ran as fast as he could, but she was faster and using her powers she created obstacles to slow Era down so he wouldn't catch up to her. Most of the obstacles were small like tree roots coming up from the earth or vines trying to grab him, but there were more dangerous ones such as wild animal attacks. He eventually caught up to her and the and the child. They were crossing a large clearing as he shouted to her, "Villosis wait!" She stopped shaking. She pulled the little girl closer to her wrapping her arms around the girl. "You don't want to do this. Just let the girl go." Era said. Villosis teared up and as she spoke her voice was shaking, "I-I have to do this. I have no choice! They will kill her if I don't bring them the girls!" He looked at her worried "Please let me help you! There are people looking to kill you because of the girls you stole."  Era held his hand out to Villosis as he slowly walked forward. Villosis looked at the hand that was extended to her. She grabbed the hand. "Please help me..."  She said as she let go of the child. Era grinned, "Let's stop that monster." Villosis nodded grabbing the girls hand heading to the beasts lair. Era followed silently. After about thirty minutes of walking they arrive at a cave Villosis went inside while Era waited outside for the signal.  After about five minutes Era heard the signal and walked into the cave taking a deep breath to relax. when he entered the main room eyes adjusted to the dark lighting. He gasped when he saw a beast. It seemed to be part woman, lion, and bird. She was lovely and majestic, but she was currently the enemy.
