The date is July second and Era and Xian have finally paid off the debts Era manages to stack up. The two still managed to keep the job at the restaurant. Era used this to practice his enchantment magic he enchanted the area around a few tables to take the orders of the customers and teleport the ticket to the kitchen and the food to the table. Although this gets him into trouble with Xian and Jessie, but he does it anyway. He can't slack on his training because he has a job. He loves getting to talk to his regular customers, but he loves when a new one comes in even more, and even though he gets yelled at for bothering the customers he loves hearing the stories and rumors they have to tell. He learned a lot about simple romance drama, but also about the current guilds of Fiore. "Era! You have a customer! Stop spacing out and get back to work!" Jessie yelled at him. "Right!" He called back and saw one of his regulars Mr. Newgate "Hey pops!" Era called walking over "What can I get you started with today we got a fresh batch of potato skins if you want that?" The order man laughed and agree and asked for some alcohol to drink. "Alright but only if you tell me another story!" He said before leaving to get the alcohol and potato skins. He set the food and drinks on the table. He's glad it was slow right now, Newgate's stories are the best. "Alright pops spill what wild adventures have you been on lately?" He asked causing the man to laugh boisterously. "Well young man let me tell yah about the time I took on more than a hundred men." Newgate started then begun to tell the story causing Era to hang on every word that he didn't notice he had received more customers. "Era! Stop pestering Mr. Newgate and get back to work you have three more customers!" Xian scolded him as he was walking by to get the food for his own customers. Era pouted and nodded. "We'll continue this another time ok, pops?" He asked before heading to another table that held two humans and a blue cat? That's a strange color for a cat, but Era shrugged it off. "Hi I'm Era! I'll be you're server today." He introduced himself. "Never seen y'all here before what can I get you to drink?" He asked "We will have water." Said a blonde girl. "Ok so three waters." Era said and nodded not taking note of the drinks. Not even two second later three waters appeared on the table surprising the three. "What how did you do that!?" The blonde shouted causing Era to laugh. "It's teleportation magic mixed with enchantment magic." He explained proudly. "So your a wizard then why are you working here?" The boy with salmon pink hair asked. Era chuckled nervously. "It's a long story, but I'm currently in search of a guild to join with my friend!" He explained causing the blonde to squeal. "I'm hoping to join a guild too I'm looking to join the strongest guild in all Fiore, Fairy Tail!" She explained. Soon they ordered as Era helped other customers as they thought about wanted. After a few moments Era returned to the three. "Ok y'all ready?" He asked and they ordered shocking Era as the blue cat spoke asking for a ton of fish. "May I have your names? I would like to be friends with you! You seem cool!" Era asked. "Sure I'm Lucy!" The blonde, Lucy said. "I'm Natsu!" The salmon haired one said. "Ey, Sir! I'm Happy!" The blue cat said excitedly. "Nice to meet you! I have decided I'm going to finish everything up here then head straight to Magnolia and join Fairy Tail!" Era said happily. Causing the three to cheer him on. As time rolled on Era heard the rest of Newgate's story and Lucy, Happy, and Natsu made a large commotion as they were leaving. Soon Their shift was over he went to tell the boss that they were quitting, and joining a wizard guild called Fairy Tail. The boss wished them luck and he left the restaurant to find Xian back in puppy form. "Alright! Let's head to Magnolia!" Era said as he begins to walk in the direction that he remembers that the city was in. During the trip Era practiced his magic, and meditated. He also was attacked multiple times by bandits, Vulcans, and other beasts. It took about three or four days to arrive at Magnolia from Hargeon. "Wow!" He said looking around, it was bigger than Hargeon and what it was in the past. "Calm down moron people are starring." Yipped Xian as he snuggled deeper into Era's arms. Era shrugged off the stares he got from the people passing by. "Ok let's find Fairy Tail!" Era said bouncing to a random store. As Era headed to a store Xian had fallen asleep. The boy walked in to a store that was run by a disheveled man with black hair and glasses. His button up was half tucked into his pant as he digs through a box in the middle of the room. "Hello?" Era called out to the distracted man. Which caught his attention. "Oh I'm sorry about that. I'm Mr. Wing. How may I help you?" The man, Mr. Wing asked. "I was hoping I could ask for directions to Fairy Tail." Era explained to Wing. "That's fine." Wing said before giving Era the directions to the guild hall. Era called out a thank you as he left the strange store. He began heading in the direction that Wing told him the guild hall is in, although it is very visible from almost anywhere in town. How Era missed it in the first place is quite surprising, this just shows how attentive he is. The wall was long not because it was far away, but because Era had to stop and look around and greet almost everyone he met. He eventually arrived at the guild hall. The ruckus was auditable from outside the door he knew that this place was the one he needed to be at. "Xian." He called shaking the pup to wake him up. Xian yawned, "We there yet?" He asked hopping out of Era's arms. The ginger nodded. "Yep. It's very loud in there, so I thought I should wake you in case things get to hot to handle." He explained. Xian nodded and put his defenses up. Era opened the door and was greeted with a sight of many people fighting, but three people stuck out to him, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy. Natsu was fighting while Happy was eating fish, and Lucy was sitting at a table with some blue haired girl. "Lucy!" He called and ran over to her dodging anything that was accidentally thrown his way. Once she was in range he tackled her into a hug. "I missed you so much!" He said. The art from the short boy surprised the blonde and the blue haired girl. "E-Era!?" Lucy called in surprise. "Yep." He said looking up at her. "I also brought my friend. Xian come here please." The said party looked away in defiance. "Come on don't be like that. If you keep acting like that I won't give you snackies!" Era called standing up. The pup glared at Era before making his way to the boy. "What?" He barked. "Xian meet Lucy." Era said gesturing to the blonde. "Ok I see her. You called me over here to meet some blonde bimbo?" Xian yipped. Era gasped and happy laughed while Lucy look at the scene in front of her confused. "Xian that was mean apologize!" Era scolded but Xian just ignored him and walked away. "I'm so sorry about Xian he's really nice once you get to know him." He apologized for the rude mutt. Lucy waved it off dismissively sweat dropping. "It's fine don't worry about it, but I have a question how could you understand that dog?" She asked. "Couldn't you understand him? I've always been able to." The boy explained to her. "No all I heard were barks and growls." She said. Era gasped as everything fell into place the strange stares and people asking him if he is ok. "Ohh I guess only I and other animals can understand him." Era concluded "Oh I came here for a reason! I'm here to join Fairy Tail! How do I do that?" "Here I'll take you to Mirajane." Lucy said getting up and heading to the counter where a very pretty white haired woman stood with a soft smile on her face. Era followed Lucy and then remember Xian teleporting the pup to him and picked him up. "Now behave ok?" He sternly said to the ball of fluff in his arms. Xian sighed and nodded. "Hello Lucy who do you have here?" The woman asked looking to the short four foot five boy. "I'm Era and I want to join this guild." He said grinning. "I'm Mirajane just call me Mira and being in a wizard guild can be very dangerous are you sure you can handle it?" Mira asked looking down at the boy. "Yep I'm pretty strong do you doubt that I am?" Era asked looking in her eyes to see if she is trying to challenge him, but she isn't which caused him to relax. "Well you look quite young I just wanted to make sure." She clarified. "Oh that's ok! I'm actually eighteen." Era said kind of shocking both Lucy and Mira. "What's with that face?" He asked tilting his head. If Era hadn't just told the two that he was eighteen they would have thought he was twelve or thirteen. "It's nothing." Lucy said waving him off. "Any way lets get your guild marks, ok?" Mira asked as she dug under the bar to retrieve the stamp. "Now where do you want it?" She said holding it up. "Xian wants his on his left leg." Era said and thought about where he wanted his. He soon decided. "I want mine on my right shoulder on my back." Mira nodded and quickly stamped the two. Lucy left Era and Mira alone to give him the run down. Which she did. She told him about jobs and the other members of the guild. Era notices Lucy, Natsu, and Happy leaving the hall probably on a mission he's not too bothered by that. "So Mira where is the master?" He asked and set down Xian who he forgot he was holding. "He is in his office if you want to talk to him." She said as she got back to work after telling him the directions. He called a thank you and made his way to the master's office. He knocked on the door. "Come in." A voice called from inside. Suddenly Era was nervous, but he pushed it away and went inside. "Hello I'm Era and I just joined the guild." He said as soon as he was in front of the short elderly man. "Hello Era, I am Makorav." He said looking towards the boy. "But I don't think you came in here just for an introduction did you?" Era nodded. "That's right I have a question do you know about the Floral Angel?" He asked. Makorav nodded "I do but not many still know about them. He was very powerful, and young, but he didn't let that stop him from doing what he thought was right. The legend and history books talk about how in his final moments he was ambushed by his pupils and their associates, and they managed to seal him away. Why do you ask?" He said. The boy smiled nervously and then got serious. "The All Mother sealed me away until a time that greatly needed my help. She released me early so I could adjust to the new time that I will be living in." Era said as Makorav gave him a skeptical look. "Believe me or not, but I feel as though if we are going to be putting our lives into each other's hands a secret this big shouldn't be hidden lest it cause major problems in the future." The master nodded at his statement. "It's ok. Thank you for telling me if that is all you may go and maybe get a job." He said as he lead Era back to the door. Era left the room saying goodbye to the master. Although he felt that the master didn't really believe him he was just playing along. That was fine with Ere; he had to tell the master anyway. He should get some jobs like the master said to get him settled back in to working as a wizard.
