"Wow Xian! Come look at this!" The seventeen and a half year old Era called to his canine companion as he looked at the brass plate that sat on the stone wall surrounding the large tree that they have been released from. The small pup made he way over to the ginger boy "What is it?" Xian asked as he sat by Era's feet. "This is about us! It's a legend! That's so cool!" The boy cheered. "Calm down do you wanna alert the whole neighborhood!" The pup barked at his short human friend, who in turn pouted. "Come on we don't have any money we need to get some if we want dinner." He said. Era nodded at that statement. They started to head into town, Era carrying Xian. "This place kind of reminds me of Hargeon." Era muttered as he walks along the sidewalk. The boy yawned as he observed the bustling streets, Vendors trying to peddle their goods to the tourists and travelers that roamed the busy streets. He wanted to go look at the stuff they were selling, but held off because he knew Xian would nag him all day about it. He gazed at the ring on his index finger it was  a golden band that held a large stone that looked like stars in the night sky. It was a present from Stella and he cherishes it more than anything.

He gently touches the ring as a sad aura surrounds his form. Xian gently nudged Era with a small whimper. The boy looked to the wolf and nodded. The unspoken communication between them brought Era out of his sad state. The two continued to look for a temporary job till they can get enough money to be stable. Era saw a restaurant and his stomach growled as he smelt the food. Xian knew the boy would most likely try to con food from these people and then get caught. Era grinned and bounced toward the restaurant. The only thing on the ginger's mind is food. The two made it to the door. Xian gasped; no dogs allowed. He pouted and looked to Era, who chuckles at the pups misfortune before setting him on the ground and took a few steps away from the wolf. "Come on don't be such a wimp." He teased causing Xian to growl at him. "Shut up!" He snapped "You know how much I dislike that form." "Yeah Yeah." The ginger said dismissively. Xian focused his magic energy and on the form he wished to take. Not even a second later the area surrounding the two filled with smoke causing Era to cough a little and try to fan it away with his hand. When the smoke had dissipated Era saw a young man in his late teens or early twenties in the place of the small black wolf. Era looked Xian up and down and whistled. " I don't see why you dislike that form you look great!" He complimented. Xian felt his cheeks heat up slightly before pushing it back and narrowing his golden eyes at the ginger. "Stop being such an idiot and let's go." He said agitatedly walking into the restaurant leaving Era behind in front of the store. "Hey! Don't leave me!" He whined as he snapped out of his thoughts before following Xian into the store. The two bickered to each other before a new voice interrupted the. "Hi how can I help you today?" The person asked causing the two to look in front of them. Era was the first to reply "Hello can we get a table for two please!" He asked enthusiastically. The host nodded "Of course right this way." They said grabbing two menus and leading them to an open table. Era and Xian followed them and took a seat across from each other. "Ok your waiter will be here in just a moment to get you started with some drinks." The host said before handing the two the menus before returning to their post. About a minute later a young woman with purple hair and eyes walked up to the table "Hi my name is Jessie and I'll be your server today. What can I get you to drink?" She asked. Before Era could even say anything Xian said, "We will just have water." She nodded and wrote that down. "Alright I'll get that right out to you." She said before walking away. Era looked at the menu his eyes sparkling at all the unknown food and some that is familiar to him. Xian also looked at the menu, his eyes held far less excitement that Era's. Xian took this time to examine the building. There seems to be a lot of people here some in pairs the others in groups. He kept his eyes out for anyone who could be considered suspicious. Soon The waitress Jessie returned with their drinks. "Here's those drinks for y'all can I get you started on an appetizer, or are you ready to order?" She asked. "We are ready." The black haired male said "I would like a stake and baked potato. Medium rare." Jessie wrote down his order "and for you?" She said looking to the beaming ginger boy. "I want a stake and potatoes too! Medium please." She took note of his order as well "Ok we will get that out for you as soon as we can!" She said leaving heading to the kitchen. "Man it's been forever since I've had something to eat I'm starving, but I still feel bad about eating and running.." Era complained. "Well we don't have any money so we don't have much choice." Xian said looked at the boy he sighed. "Doesn't that thing ever wilt?" He asked pointing to the flower crown on Era's head trying to get the boys mind off their plan to eat and run. "Of course not! It was blessed by the All Mother!" Era said defensively. "I was just asking sheesh." Xian said before looking around the place once more. The two feel into silence listening to the mindless chatter in the background until their food arrives. After about five minutes or more Jessie returned with their food. She refilled their drinks before leaving again. The two dug into the food before them like they haven't eaten in years, which in their case they haven't. Not even a minute into their meal the front door burst open revealing a group of about twenty people. "Everyone stay where you are and don't move!" Shouted a tall brawny man, who in Era's mind seemed to be the leader. Xian gave Era a look that told him to not get involved, but Era being the good hearted moron he is stood up. "Who do you think you are just waltzing in here and giving orders to these people! Leave you Vulcan loser wanna be!" The short scrawny boy yelled to the leader provoking him. "What did you just say to me twerp! Do you know who I am!? I'm the leader of the leader of the Black Claw guild! Cesar!" The large man, Cesar yelled to the boy. Who shrugged it off, "Ok what ever you say Geezer!" He teased. "Its Cesar you god damn brat!" Cesar growled to Era. "Boss calm down they just a child." One of the lackeys said.  "Huh!?" Era exclaimed "I'm Eighteen! You pack of Vulcan detergents!" He shouted angerly marching up to the group. "What did you just call us?" The leader asked threateningly, caused Era to smirk maliciously "Lets make a deal. If I can defeat you I can have anything I desire. If I should lose you can have my life. The battle field will be outside ok?" he asked to the leader holding his hand out "You don't seem unreasonable, Geezer, so what do you say?" The man looked to the seventeen year old in shock. Who was this kid to challenge him the leader of the Black Claw Guild the most feared around these parts. This brat thinks he can get away with this, no. I will have to put him in his place. Cesar though before shaking the boy's hand. "You're on runt." He agreed before letting go and walking outside. Era sigh and grabbed the necklace the villagers gave him for finding their lost daughters. "I will not lose this man's heart is tainted black. I must stop him before he hurts anyone else." He muttered before walking outside. "Alright this is a one on one match that means no interference from your lackeys." The boy called as he stepped closer to the leader. Cesar nodded "I can agree to that I don't need my men to beat a snot nosed kid like you." He replied. "Good then the terms are set! May the All Mother bless me in this battle!" Era called out to the sky, before getting into a fighting stance. The large man griped the Sword on his back before pulling it from it's sheath. "I'll make you regret ever crossing paths with me!" Cesar yelled charging at the small boy who hadn't even moved, but held a smirk on his face. The charging man helplessly fell into Era's root trap, causing roots to wrap around his feet and up his legs slowly making their way up his body. Cesar was infuriated by the boys trap using his sword to cut the roots from the ground. Era's eyes sparkled. "Wow you're good not many have the brains and strength to cut through my roots!" He praised the male before him. "But it's kinda sad that you won't be able to tell anyone that you fought against me. Then again I don't think you know who you're up against..." he sighed "Should I tell you? I mean it's only proper to introduce yourself to a worthy opponent, I am Era, and a long time ago I was known as the Floral Angel. Thank you for this battle Cesar." Cesar was utterly confused the Floral Angel lived hundreds of years ago. This boy had to be lying, but what reason would he have to lie. It doesn't matter all that matters now is destroying that brat. Soon Era disappeared from Cesar's vision snapping him back into reality. "It's bad to space out during a fight but it's to late for that now good bye, Celestial Dragon's Roar!" Era yelled causing a massive tornado of purples, blues, whites, and blacks to hit Cesar head on causing him to crash through the wall of the restaurant. "Whoops I guess I over did it a bit." Era said scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. He walked over to the unconscious man and decided to take the light blue earring from his ear.

The lackeys cried out for their boss running over to him, and picking him up "you'll regrets this!" One of the people called to the boy before running off like a dog with a tail between it's legs. Soon enough though Xian stormed over and smacked Era upside the head. "What in the hell were you thinking. Never mind that's a stupid question you weren't even thinking." He sighed exasperatedly. Era just laughed at Xian's tired state. Just then the owner of the restaurant came out of the back room. "What in the hell happened here!?" He shouted. "I'm sorry sir this is my fault. Please let me pay you back I have no money, but maybe my companion and I could work here to pay off damages and our meals." Era said to the man who sighed "sure whatever I don't have time for this Jessie get them a uniform and get them situated they start now." He instructed before heading back to the back. Jessie took the two to the back and got them their uniforms.

"Here you go put these on and meet me in the dining area." She said walking away. This was the beginning of their half year job before they met someone who would change their lives forever.
