{The Perils Of Honesty}
My heart is like an open book laid bare for you to read.
The words upon its pages so ripped from me that from it's pages they bleed.
I never hid this side from you but you never could see,
The need, the insanity and the intensity that makes up every broken part of me.
I told you ever secret and confessed every lie,
You told me that you understood and you'd love me till I was to die.
For my lips I spilled such honesty that you took for granted,
Your ignorance to my pain was the reward for my habit of being candid.
Don't turn from me and look into my eyes they'll tell what you refuse to accept.
For though I trusted you with my truth you proved to be inept.
