I would like to dedicate this fairy tale to all victims of the tragic firestorm that swept through Central Portugal on the 15th of October 2017.
I didn't realise that this was going to be a story about the fire until it was finished, which makes it particularly remarkable. Where does such a story come from?
I have no idea!
The fire was a powerful — even if excessively cruel — teacher in matters of collaboration. May this story serve as a reminder that working together helps lighten the burden, relieves the pain of loss and ultimately makes life so much more precious.
