Nobody spoke of the Gwen incident again. It wasn't worth anyone's time, especially Courtney and Duncan's. They both knew that they didn't have much time together, so what did that mean for them and their risky relationship? It meant that everything went faster than a normal relationship should usually go. Way faster. It was like a blur, all the time they spent together, all the nights when they would be crying in their cabins, realizing how much they would miss each other. They never thought about long-distance, they only thought about the present. Duncan and Courtney both had the same thing on their mind : when would they be eliminated from
Total Drama and what would it be like? They could be separated any day now. The days seemed to get shorter and shorter as they passed by, and challenges seemed to be harder and harder because at the very end, the elimination ceremony scared them to death.
} Duncan's POV
Flashback to the Phobia Factor Challenge. The final marshmallow. Tyler and Courtney were the only two contestants without one. I squeezed Courtney's hand tight as he watches a tear or two stream down her cheeks. In the end, Courtney gets the marshmallow, obviously excited as she gives me a big hug. I smirk and look over at Tyler, who looks depressed as hell. "You'll get that chicken next time," I whisper into his ear, remembering that he was afraid of chickens. CHICKENS! Wow. I am so relieved my girl isn't going home yet. (included the
flashback as an example HOW SCARY AND SAD this must be never knowing when the other is gonna leave😪)
End Duncan's POV
That night was terrifying for both of them. It made them realize so many things about their little relationship, and that time doesn't even matter. They both had that same thought, for example, popping out the "L-word." Since their time was so limited, they were both thinking it and it was crazy that they did. "They're moving too fast!" the average person would say. Imagine being on Total Drama Island, where your time is so limited, you don't know when it's going to run out.

Courtney picked up a stick on the way back to her cabin, her mind was racing and she had no idea who to talk to. Duncan was no where in sight, so she sat on the cabin porch and started sketching in the dirt with her stick. Suddenly, the thoughts keep getting bigger and bigger, and she decides to find the delinquent herself.
"Duncan!" she shouts, approaching the edge of the island, where Duncan sat alone on a little beach, staring at the sky. He turns around and smiles slightly. "Hey," he says, "We need to talk."
"Agreed."
