~1 year later~

A year had passed by. I had finally accepted the terms when it came to Y/N being the one person I ever fell in love with. But that doesn't make me want to be with her. Alright, in all honesty, I do like her. A little bit. But I don't think she'll ever love me if she found out what I really was. A person with other a million souls trapped inside me. And not to mention I can turn into a worm and a giant dog like thing with a tail and six arms. Who would want to date that? Probably no one. I sighed to myself as thoughts poured through my head. I had to tell her. I got up and walked out of the guest room and looked for Y/N. She wasn't in her room and she wasn't downstairs. I walked back upstairs when I heard water running. She must be taking a shower. I guess I'll just wait. I walked back down stairs and sat on the couch. Axel came over and put his head on my hand. I smiled and rubbed behind his ear.

"I think you understand what I'm feeling." He whimpered and licked my hand. "I'll take that as a yes. I don't know how to tell her. I guess I just have to go for it. Like taking off a band-aid. Just got to get it over with. But what should I say?" Axel tiled his head and panted slightly. I sighed, "You're right. I can't just blurt it out at a random moment. I need to be casual about it. Nonchalant." Axel laid down and put his arms over his snout. "You're right. Not my style. I usually just tell people at the worst possible moment. But I can't do that with her. She could be the one chance I get a family. I know that sounds selfish of me, but I truly do like her. I finally accepted the truth of her being the one person I fell in love with." Axel removed his arms and picked his head up. "I just got to tell her."

"You don't need to worry about that," she said.

I stood up and so did Axel. I walked over to her. I was so nervous. "How much did you hear?"

"All of it."

"And your thoughts?"

"I'm glad you accepted me for being the person you loved long ago."

I smiled slightly. I could feel my face getting a bit warm, "T-thanks."

"Wanna head out for a walk?"

"S-sure."

Y/N was getting ready to go, but before she opened the door Axel growled and barked at the door.

"Axel, I told you. Don't bark at Envy. He's harmless."

"I think he senses something," I whispered.

"That's ridiculous. Axel, be quiet."

Axel kept on barking and walked towards the front door. I reached down and put my hand over his snout. I could hear someone trying to pick the lock. As it turns out, they were successful.

"Get down!" I yelled.

The door busted open and I saw a guy with a gun pointing at Y/N.

"Y/N!" I yelled. I ran in front of her and shielded her. My back was facing the gun as the man shot. I felt the bullet lodge into my right shoulder blade.

"Envy!" Y/N cried.

I stood in front of her and smirked at her. I turned towards the man and rubbed my shoulder blade.

"Ouch, that really hurt," I said.

"Then why aren't you on the ground in agony? And bleeding?" the man asked.

I chuckled, "You really don't have a damn clue as to who you're messing with. You see, I'm a homunculus. The last homunculus," I grinned widely.

"I thought they all died," the man said.

"Not all of them."

I ran towards the man, but he was too quick. As I ran towards him, he jumped up, pressed his hand on my back, and pushed me into the ground. He pushed himself forward as I fell out of the door. He grabbed Y/N and threw her over his shoulder. Axel barked and bit the man's leg. He yelled in agony and kicked Axel off of his leg. Bleeding, he limped his way out of the house and towards the woods. Axel ran towards me and licked the shoulder blade that was shot. I reached behind and pulled out the bullet and tossed it on the ground.

"He's going to pay for what he did. Axel, stay here and guard the house." Axel barked and sat at the front of the door. I got up, closed the door, and locked it. "I'll be back with Y/N. That's a promise."

I ran after the man. I could tell where he was. I just followed the trail of blood that was splattered across the ground. I found a clearing where there was Y/N sitting on the ground. I hid behind a bush and watched. There were three men surrounding her. I gritted my teeth and I could feel the beast inside of me wanting to get out.

"Looks like we found who we were looking for," said a man.

"What am I good for?" she asked.

"Multiple things," another said.

I sneered and walked out of the bush, "Leave her alone!"

The three men turned and started to laugh.

"What are you going to do? You're not even strong enough to take on all three of us!" one snickered.

"Yeah! Not to mention the size comparison," laughed another.

"Who said it's all about size?" I asked.

"It's all about height in this world, kid," said one.

"Not entirely," I sneered. I could feel my fangs pointing out a bit. My nails turned into claws and I could feel the beast coming closer and closer. I had enough of it. I opened my mouth and let out a roar. I could feel the four arms coming out from my sides. All six pounded onto the ground and I grew in size. My tail extended outwards and all of the faces appeared all around my body. I looked down at the three men who were staring. "What's the matter? Don't like height differences? Seems like you don't."

I reached out and grabbed one of the guys. I took him and smashed him onto the ground. The two tried to attack from behind, but my tail swung underneath their legs. They fell onto the ground and I slammed my tail on them. I shrunk back down to my normal size and looked at Y/N. She stared at me in shock.

"I should have told you earlier about this, Y/N. But I do have two sides of me you might not be able to see a lot. But they're always part of me. The side you saw right now is a beast I try to control. I only let it out when someone I care about is in danger. I've only used this side of me a few times in my life. Another side is my weakest point. It's not like this one though. I understand if you don't want me around." I turned to leave, but she grabbed my hand. I looked at her, but her head was hung low.

"You've got it all wrong, Envy. I appreciate what you did for me. I honestly do."

I turned towards her, "Another thing is, I like you. A lot. I also understand if you don't-"

She grabbed me by my sweatshirt and pulled me towards her face. She smashed her lips onto mine. My eyes widened in shock. This wasn't like a normal first kiss. Where it was light and just enough to confirm feelings. No. This was full of passion and love. She pulled away and buried her face in my chest. I smiled and slowly wrapped my arms around her. This is her. This is my girl. My Y/N.
