Barred

The following weekend, I looked out of my kitchen window while washing up to see Harry's window covered with prison bars. Oh dear!

"Midnight, I need you to take a letter to Fred and George Weasley quickly." I wrote a hasty note and gave it to her. 'Only if I get a treat before I go' She thought smugly. I gave her a treat knowing she would stay until she had gotten one. "Now go!" I ordered. Harry would hopefully be out of there within the next two days. I received a reply that evening via the Weasley's owl, Errol saying

Dear Rose,

We'll get him out, don't you worry!
See you at school.

The Weasley Twins.

The next day, I noticed the bars were no longer on the house. They were lying on the ground badly bent. That was the noise I heard in the middle of the night - Harry's escape! The whole neighbourhood probably heard that.

A good week later, I knew I would have to visit Diagon Alley. I had decided on three electives as I couldn't make my mind up. I had chosen Study of Ancient Runes, Arithmancy and Care of Magical Creatures. I didn't really need Muggle Studies because I lived in their world however it would be nice if I got a Newt on it. Wish I could do the lot!

My list of requirements was as follows:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 3) by Miranda Goshawk
The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 4) by Miranda Goshawk
Unfogging the Future by Cassandra Vablatsky (if attending Divination)

The Monster Book of Monsters (if attending Care of Magical Creatures)
Numerology and Grammatica (if attending Arthimancy)

Potion Supplies (Year Three and Four Ingredients)

As I was unsure with what I wanted to do, I would have to buy all of them anyway! Upon my arrival at Diagon Alley, I knew something was going on. Flourish and Blotts was chockablock with people queued up outside in a line. I saw Hagrid towering over everyone as he walked from Knockturn Alley, a boy stood next to him. Harry! I noticed Hermione racing up to them as I got glimpses over the heads of the crowd blocking me. I had luckily got out enough money for supplies last week as I knew it would be busy at Gringotts but this was ridiculous! I didn't notice the huge banner as I raced into the packed bookstore as I only needed the standard books and not some blond guy's books, ah it was a book signing! I grabbed the necessary books I needed as fast as possible. Piles of books stood around the room on different tables all showing the blond guy on the front. 'What a self-absorbed person!' The amount of witches in here was stupid...

I looked down the stairs to see Hermione, Harry and Ron grouped together with the rest of the Weasley's and Hermione's parents; I assumed. A photographer shoved his way through the Weasley's, snapping shot after shot at the blond author. "It can't be. Harry Potter?" The author shouted. Harry was roughly pulled to the front and had a picture taken with the author. I fumed at the photographer and author as they weren't even considerate to Harry. "Ladies and gentlemen," he said loudly, waving for quiet.

"What an extraordinary moment this is! The perfect moment for me to make a little announcement I've been sitting on for some time. When young Harry here stepped into Flourish and Blotts today, he only wanted to buy my autobiography - which I shall be happy to present him now, free of charge -" The crowd applauded again. "He had no idea that he would shortly be getting much, much more than my book, Magical Me. He and his school fellows will, in fact, be getting the real, magical me. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have great pleasure and pride in announcing that, this September, I will be taking up the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!" The crowd of fans broke into applause as I frowned at this new piece of information.
