I had yet to go and see Petunia about the condition Harry was living in as I was worried about how she would take to seeing me again. I decided to go tomorrow!

The next day, Midnight flew through the kitchen window and perched on one of the chairs waiting for me to take the letter from her beak. I took it hesitantly hoping it wouldn't contain what I thought it would! I unfolded the letter from the envelope and started reading.

Dear Rose,

I apologise in advance. I can understand that you would like to make Harry's situation better but in no way are you to compromise your cover. Voldemort will return soon - it is inevitable. You may rest assured that he will be looked after here at Hogwarts.

No-one can know what he is to you. Maybe when all of this is over he will know but until then - stay strong.

Your friend,

Albus Dumbledore

I threw the letter away from me which glided down to the floor. I knew I was being idiotic but I wanted everyone to know what I was to him? Severus knew. But that didn't make me feel better. All my hard spent time to make a room for him.

I flounced up the stairs and to the right to come face to face with a brown door labelled in scripture writing saying Harry's Room. I opened the door to admire my work taking it all in. I had Gryffindor banners on the wall decorated with lots of pictures like Lily had done when she was younger. I had also inserted a feather down bed for Harry and added some of his baby stuff from my vault. His mini broomstick was hovering off of the ground slightly. I had tried to add James and Lily into its design as well as make it to Harry's own taste. I hoped he would like it whenever he would get to see it!

I took one last sweep of the room before closing the door, I knew I was hoping for something impossible! But that was what I always did.

This year was a new year; a fresh start for me. No more pining over things I couldn't have - I mean a guy that was still in love with my cousin - what was the word I was looking for; oh yeah! Unavailable in every sense. A dream of having a relationship with my cousin's son or in Lily's words - nephew. I knew I needed to stop this or get away from everything, I think that was the one reason why I travelled so much. But I knew where Lily would want me. So I would be going back to Hogwarts - keeping an eye out for him while trying to learn about all the things I could. I wanted to be strong enough to protect him when, and if the day came that Voldemort could return. I had to try.
