Not one single person had seen Lockhart do a spell yet which made all the guys believe he was a fraud! I thought that too but most of the female students didn't care about that, they actually thought that he had done everything in his books. I knew that if he had actually done all that stuff, he wouldn't be so pompous and always want to be in the limelight.

I was unfortunate enough to be walking towards his classroom before he stepped out and shut the door behind him. I successfully avoided him by ducking out of sight into a empty classroom. As soon as the coast was clear, I was out of there as I knew what happened in those empty classrooms at night. I was about to pass the door to Lockhart's classroom before a sharp "Help" rang out. I pushed the door open to slip inside before closing it as fast as possible once my sights fell on the little devils! No I wasn't talking about the children, there were a good thirty or so pixies making a huge mess of the room.

They sounded rather like the noise budgies make. I shouted the first word that came into my head.

"Depulso!" I pointed my wand to the cage making four pixies zoom straight there. Hermione was freezing the ones I had just collected. We rounded them up to be faced with one screwed up classroom. "Hey, what about me?" A voice piped up. Neville was carelessly hanging from the black chandelier. "Wingardium Leviosa." I said, raising him off the hook so I could bring him down. "Descendo" I pointed aiming at Neville before lowering my wand to the ground, slowly letting him back on his feet. To fix the classroom, I wasn't entirely sure. I had totally forgot the Petrificus Totalus spell we could have used on the Pixies, oops! I pointed my wand at the mess and uttered "Reparo" several times as I didn't know any others to clean it all up.

Leaving Harry, Hermione and Ron - three second years to deal with Cornish Pixies was disgraceful. It was only because I had stolen, sorry borrowed tons of books from Filius that I even knew the Descendo and Depulso spells. I was going to have a right go at Lockhart the next time I saw him!

They had mentioned to me that they had to do a pop quiz all about him - favourite colour, ambition, greatest achievement and the list goes on. I was glad I didn't have to do it.

I left the others to go and find Filius and my other teachers or colleagues to apologise. I had only missed a repeat lesson to go over what we had learnt so I was fine for charms however I now had the homework from the lessons and I had detention for Potions basically. Sybill was very happy with me as one of my horoscope predictions came true - I had written 'something will befall me within the week' and it happened, that was lucky. The last teacher I had to go and see was Lockhart!

Great - so looking forward to that!

As soon as my next Defense Against the Dark Arts class took place, I knew I was going to have to stay. I didn't really pay attention as Lockhart was going on about some werewolf or other, the students finally left the classroom so Lockhart and myself were left alone. "Lockhart, leaving three second years to clean up the pixies was a disgrace." He nodded at certain points throughout my rant. "I'm sorry that I also missed two of your classes, can I make them up?" I asked, wishing he says no. He strolled over to me in that prancy manner and uttered "You can make it up to me." He grinned stupidly. "What do you want?" I muttered, knowing he would have an ulterior motive. "I want you" He idiotically said. I was about to pull out my wand as his lips flew onto mine. I yanked my wand out, pushed him away and shouted "Furnunculus" Lockhart's face started sprouting boils all over. He looked into the mirror he had on the wall and cried. I walked out of there without a backwards glance.

I felt gross, I was going to have a long hot shower as soon as I got in to my quarters.

The next day, I was mightily proud of my achievement which everyone had noticed as Lockhart hadn't had them removed yet. Breakfast was great. Minerva was trying her very hardest not to laugh but her cheeks were steadily reddening. Albus was smiling but trying to ignore it and Severus was amused. I could tell by the way he was wondering who would do that to a teacher. I stared straight ahead eating my breakfast like nothing had happened.

Lockhart glared daggers at me which I think some of the staff noticed. I pretended not to see the fleeting glances cast at me - now and then. Severus whispered next to me "It was you, wasn't it?" "I don't know what you mean!" I responded too quickly. "What did he do now?" He questioned, bemused. "I'm not telling you because I don't know who did it!" I recovered. I wasn't telling anyone what had happened because I knew Severus' reaction to it would be mad and I would either have to take a long absence from my Defense Against the Dark Arts class which I wouldn't be willing to do or I would get Lockhart fired which wasn't a possibility. Albus probably already knows as he always knew everything happening within the castle anyway.
