I hadn't had a chance to open my presents this morning so I would probably open them after dinner. I left the Hall rather late to see Harry and Ron dragging Crabbe and Goyle's bodies into a broom cupboard. I blanked out what had happened in front of me as Crabbe and Goyle weren't the nicest. I returned to my quarters to find Hermione waiting by my door. "Hello Hermione. What is going on?" I frowned at her. "Please can you give me the directions to a certain common room that's in the dungeons?" I blinked shocked. "We're trying to find out who the Heir of Slytherin is... and we suspect Malfoy." I smiled knowing for a fact that it wasn't Draco as he was afraid of the whole petrified thing. "Sure. You go down the stairs by the Great Hall, left, straight, left again then walk down the long corridor then turn right halfway down. You should see a snake symbol on the wall; the password is Pure-blood" I told her before she rushed away. I entered my chambers and opened the presents as fast as possible before I got all teary-eyed as I hadn't celebrated a Christmas since my parents had passed.

A week later, it was common knowledge that Hermione was stuck in the Hospital Wing but the reason why she was there was a secret! She had accidentally turned into half a cat but a few days later and her appearance was already back to normal. Nothing happened for the next several weeks apart from everyone returning for the next term. I hadn't found time to visit Hermione as my homework was piling up. I got through it as quickly and steadily as possible.

The only intriguing thing to happen was Moaning Myrtle had flooded the bathroom and the surrounding corridors with water again. After Hermione had been released, she started researching in the library. I had decided to help her when I was free. There was a lot of talk from Gilderoy as he thought he had stopped the attacks by doing nothing at all - yay! The next day no-one was prepared for what was going to happen apart from me.
