There is no sound, to lightning. Of course there's thunder... but I mean the sound of lightning appearing and vanishing. There is no sound to that, no sound for the species on the earth, to acknowledge its existence at its flash of appearance. Also no signal to its soon to be arrival in the sky. The lightning reaches like a crooked hand, with shriveled fingers. The sky lights its paths, with a dark bodied cloud to help it travel. Soon the whole sky above you turns a shade of gray, darkening the land, and covering the original sky from earth's passengers. The thunder shakes the ground like an earthquake but it causes no damage. Why would something of the worlds power want to break the world apart? Or does the world wish to rid us of our existence. We cause wildfires, and we cause air pollution. It's a race, who can die first, the world or us. Or will we die together?
