KIT’s POV

I’m not in the mood to go to Yo’s bonfire.  I’m not in the mood to be around people, period.  Not since I made an ass out of myself in front of Ming.

Fuck!  Why in the hell did I spew out that bullshit?  My heart clenches in my chest thinking of the devastated look on Ming’s face.  He’s right. I am a two-face bastard. I care way more about what my boys think of me than I should.  It’s not like they don’t know I’m gay. We’re all super gay! I have never been interested in anyone, not like how I’m interested in Ming.  I don’t want the ribbing that comes along with them knowing I’m in love. It wears on my nerves. I have to fix this and fast. My feet wanted to head in the direction Ming ran off to but Yo beat me to it.

I get to Yo’s first.  I opted to ride my motorcycle so I could get a few minutes to myself.  Forth, Phun, and Pha had to stop first at Forth’s older brothers house to pick up the booze he bought for us.

As I’m turning my motor off and letting the kickstand down Beam comes storming out the front door.  When he sees me he heads toward me.

Setting his hands down on the handlebars of my bike he leans over so his face is closer to mine.

“Want to get out of here?” Beam asks winking.

“Aren’t you back together with Forth?” I ask swinging my leg over the seat to stand up.  Bad move, Kit. Now I have Beam plastered against me his hands fisted in my shirt.

“We can be off again,” he says biting his lip.

I know he doesn’t mean it.  While I do think Beam still harbors some feelings for me the reason we didn’t work out was Forth.  Beam likes Forth more and I’m okay with that. Beam and Forth’s problem stems from neither of them wanting to admit they love each other.

“You’ve been drinking.  Why don’t we go find you some food and coffee,” I suggest trying to steer him towards the house.

“What does Ming have that I don’t?  Huh! What? You never looked at me like I hung the moon while we dated.  You have fucking hearts in your eyes for that prude,” Beam yells.

“Beam, stop.”

At hearing Forth’s voice Beam untangles his hands from my shirt and steps back.  “What? We aren’t official or anything, Forth,” Beam snaps.

“The hell we aren’t you stubborn ass!” Taking hold of Beam’s arm Forth forces him to his car.  “Excuse us.” Beam tries struggling but Forth isn’t having it.

“Should we help him?” Pha asks.

“Who?” I reply.

“Beam!”

“No.  They need to work out whatever they need to work out,” I say.  “Besides Forth would rather cut his own arm off then ever hurt Beam.  I’m not worried.”

“Fuck!” Phun curses.

“What?” both Pha and I say at the same time.

“There went all our booze!”

Once we hit the backyard my eyes hone in on Ming standing next to my sister laughing at something she said.  My God he looks sexy with his head thrown back. Is he wearing glasses?

 Is he wearing glasses?

Fuck me, but that’s hot. I’ve always had a thing for men in glasses.  He must wear contacts, because I never saw him in glasses back in Thailand. On my way over to him I’m assaulted by a blur in black. Looking down I see shaggy brown hair and as it tilts back Runes smiling face is revealed.

“P’Kit!  I’m so happy to see you,” Rune exclaims tightening his hold on me.

“You too, Rune.  You can drop the P.  It’s just Kit.”

Still smiling Rune drags me over to where Ming and Kaari are.

“Hey big brother.  I was wondering if you weren’t going to show.”

“I’m here now.”

“Rune why don’t we go roast a hot dog for Kit,” Kaari says not giving Rune a chance to say yes or no.  I suddenly find myself alone with Ming. Before I can utter a word he takes off walking towards the woods.  Running I catch up to him grabbing his wrist to slow him own.

“Where are you going?  You can get lost in those woods!” I scold.  Tearing his arm away from my grip he walks a few paces away from me.

“What part of I never wanted to see your face again did you not understand?” Ming growls.

He is pissed.  I never saw this side of him during our few weeks together.  Let me tell you it’s turning me on. The way his eyes are flashing fire and his cheeks are glowing a pretty pink all I want to do right now is kiss him senseless.

So I do.  Catching him off guard I roughly kiss those lips I have been dreaming about since our last night together.  When he tries to speak I take full advantage of his parted lips plunging my tongue in to tangle with his. As I feel his body start to relax I gentle the kiss taking my time to capture his full bottom lip between my teeth giving it a soft nip.  I think the subtle pain wakes him up and I’m being forcefully pushed away. My Ming is strong. I like that.

“You don’t get to fucking do that!  You made it clear where we stand in front of your friends.  Summers over, Kit. So are we.”

I stand frozen in place as he runs off towards the house.  Shit, shit, shit! We aren’t over! Not by a long shot. I wasn’t lying when I told him we were just beginning.  I’m going to prove it.
