KIT's POV

This is my first dance going with a date. I'm nervous as hell. My mom took me to the florist to pick out a boutonniere and everything. Now I'm standing outside Ming's door getting ready to ring the doorbell with a shaky hand.

"You must be Kit. It's so good to finally meet you," Ming's mother says as soon as the door is open.

"You too, ma'am." I follow her into the living room and am immediately accosted by Rune.

"Ming hasn't shut up about going to this dance since you asked him," Rune tattles laughing.

"Nice, Rune. Thanks," Ming growls playfully making his way down the stairs. Ming on a normal basis is handsome as fuck. Ming dressed up in a black suit with a red dress shirt is lethal. I'm glad I went with a red rose. It will go well with is outfit. My heart is beating so fast I'm afraid everyone in the room can hear it.

"You look incredible," I finally say after staring at him for several minutes with my mouth hanging open. "Here..."

"So do you." Ming murmurs accepting the boutonniere. His mom helps him pin in on and I'm glad because I would have probably stabbed him with the pin. My hands still haven't stopped shaking. Now they are shaking in excitement instead of fear.

"Wait! Before you go I want pictures," Ming's mom exclaims her camera at the ready.

"Mom!" Ming groans but I just smile putting my arm around his waist.

"Oh you two are so cute!"

After taking several shots of us Ming tells his mom to give it a rest. I give her my mom's email to send her the pictures before we can get out the door. Once the door is closed I pin Ming against the door taking his lips into a sweet kiss.

"I wanted to do that from the moment I laid eyes on you," I admit against his ear.

"Me to. You really do look hot as hell," Ming admits. We aren't dressed all that differently. The only difference is I'm dressed all in black. The only color is the red tie my mom insisted I wear. I'm glad now because it looks like we coordinated.

"Oh...no bike tonight," Ming sighs as we pull apart.

"Not tonight, babe. I thought this occasion warranted driving in a car. Plus I didn't want anything to get on our nice clothes," I explain holding the door open for him.

Ming's smile widens and he gives me a kiss on my cheek. "That was very thoughtful of you. Thank you."

The gym has been decked out in twinkle lights, star decorations, and more balloons than you can count. I spot Yo, Pha, Phun, and Noh right away milling around the food table. Yo has changed his hair again to a pale yellow.

"I love your hair," Ming compliments.
