The next morning for Simon was slow, as most mornings were. However it was a Wednesday, meaning it was the middle of the week. Statistically, Wednesday mornings were the slowest. Mornings were something everyone had to deal with though, and that didn't exclude Simon.

While it took him a while to get ready, he eventually did and headed to the bus stop down the road from his place. Soon after arriving, a familiar voice greeted him.

"Simon! You're up late." JJ's voice, clearly. It was way too distinctive to mistake it for anyone else's.

The blonde nodded sluggishly and rubbed his eyes using the base of his palm.

"Wednesday morning getting to ya?" JJ laughed, not as loud as he usually does but it was still loud enough to make a few people look over.

"As usual" The taller boy smiled weakly and begun to look around at the gathering crowd. It still seemed empty despite the many conversations going on around him.

He soon realised why, Harry wasn't there. Why wasn't he there? Was he sick? Was he skipping school? Was he avoiding Simon? No, that was stupid, Harry didn't even know who he was. His train of thought was cut off by the sound of the bus arriving to the stop and JJ tapping him on the shoulder as a sign he was going to go ahead and get onto the bus.

He waited patiently at the back of the line, not wanting to push past anyone to get on the bus. He wasn't that type of person. The boy fell into his seat, right where he always sat. The bus had a strong social hierarchy and if you sat in the wrong place, everyone would let you know.

There was one person who didn't listen to the system and that was JJ. Even though his place was supposed to be near the back with the rest of the football team, he always found himself sitting with Simon at the front, the place dedicated for those who are basically nobodies.

So JJ went ahead and got the seats and waited for Simon to join him. As Simon sat down, there was a small beat before the bus driver began to close the doors. A yell sounded out from outside the bus and as Simon peered out the window, he noticed Harry running towards the bus, yelling a variety of obscene words and telling the bus driver to stop.

Harry raced onto the bus and quickly headed for the back, where some of his friends had saved him a spot. As he pushed past Simon, a piece of paper fell out of his bag. Simon leaned down and grabbed it, soon realising it was a timetable.

"Hey, isn't that Harrys?" JJ leans in and reads the timetable over Simons shoulder, noticing the name on the top of the paper.

"Yeah, he dropped it."

"What are you going to do, stalk him using it?" JJ shoves the taller boy a little, letting out a signature cackle.

"No, I'm not a weirdo, I'm just going to give it back to him at school." Simon looked at JJ, his voice coming off a little more defensive then intended.

JJ nodded slowly, his eyes darting between Simons face and the piece of paper resting in his hands.

The rest of the trip (which was rather short) was full of small conversations about nothing, which Simon enjoyed compared to sitting in silence.

Simon headed off the bus with a small hop, bag strap in one hand and Harrys timetable in the other. He scanned the multiplying group of people until his eyes landed on the boy he was looking for.

"Uh, Harry?" He spoke, slightly raised so he would be heard above the crowd.

The boy in question turned around and Simon would swear on anyones life that in that moment, time froze.

The boy took a few steps towards him and cocked a brow and Simons heart began racing, though he wasn't sure if it was in the good way or the bad way.

"Yeah, what is it?" The boy replied.

"You, uh, you dropped this on the bus." Simon lifted the paper up towards the other boy, a weak smile covering his face.

"Oh," Harry paused for a split second, then grabbed the paper. "Thanks Simon." He nodded awkwardly and smiled before turning and disappearing into the crowd again.

It took Simon a while to come back down to Earth as he spent the next few minutes going over the conversation and making sure he didn't come off as awkward or too obvious or something along those lines.

He probably did.

As he looked up, he noticed the huge crowd of people was beginning to make their way into the building.

Shit, class was starting. Time to head in.
