On Sunday mornings, Simon lets himself sleep in. Not too much however, as he has to be at the football pitch by 12. Ever since high school started, he watched every single game that JJ played. There was one exception, which was when JJ was ill but he still went nevertheless.

Living near the football pitch had its perks. JJ could always come over after a game and its never too tiring for him. The other thing he would do is bring water bottles over for the kids who's parents didn't attend that game. It was a rare thing, but it happened sometime and it was better to be prepared then feel guilty.

The football game was nothing that Simon hadnt expected. Since he had watched them practice, he knew exactly what strategies they were going for and they had played out perfectly. By the end of the game, the score was 7-1. That was one of the better scores they had had all season.

Simon was waiting for JJ to change and began to pack up his water bottles understanding that no one was going to need any for that game. At the sound of footsteps, he perked up, thinking it was JJ. It wasn't.

Harry was walking right towards him.

"Hey Simonnn,' Harry dragged his name out, the sound rolling off of his lips delicately. "Can I have some water?"

"Doesn't your mum have any?" Simon questioned, gesturing towards the woman standing a good distance away.

"Nah, rush this morning."

Simon nodded in an understanding manner and pulled a bottle out of his bag, handing it to the other boy.

"You, uh, you played well.' Simon said, a half-smile creeping across his face.

"So did you!" Harry grinned and took a sip of his water before realising his mistake "Wait, fuck, I mean you watched well-"

"I get what you mean."

"Hey, random question but," Harry scratched the back of his head and broke eye contact "when do you head to the office for morning announcements?"

"Usually as soon as I get to school, why?" Simon zipped up the backpack he had brought the bottles in and put the straps around his shoulders

"Just wondering, I rarely see you in the mornings."

"Oh, ok."

There was a small awkward silence and a yell from the distance before Harry said "That'll be mum. See you later Simon." He held his clenched fist out and Simon met it with his own. The shorter boy turned and sprinted off towards a woman in the distance.

Simon couldn't help but stare as the boy became smaller and smaller, ignoring the upcoming footsteps from behind him.

JJ exited the changing room, sports bag slung over his shoulder. "You look happy."

Simon shook out of his gaze and flustered a little "Uh yeah, just happy to hang out with you. You down for a game of Fifa?"

"Yeah, sounds good."

And as JJ and Simon walked back to Simons together, everything seemed to be ok.
