Falling into Darkness

1. Silence falls like the dark night
but like demons, it's scary.
Its claws scratch me like a cat, making
my arms bleed.
5. I toss and turn every night,
hearing a demon voice, disguised
as a comforting man.
I fall into their arms hurt, but desperate
for comfort from myself.
10. I look into its lustful eyes, oblivious
to their sinister intentions.
Once I realize the hurt that was eminent
I try to run away but the hurt was done.
15. The tears in my soul came to my eyes
the world comes crashing down,
and I take the fall.
I take the burdens of the world with no
one taking the burdens off me.
20. "Are these burdens my death sentence?"
I asked blindly. No answer. The silence
plagued my soul and my heart fell sick
to this plague. No cure.
I rot away, my deeds unfinished and
25. collecting dust.
