---Don't Follow Me---

I just arrived at school, around 5:45 am. Nagpaka-aga ako ngayon kasi dapat kami magkita ni Liz. Dapat mayroon kaming itatapos na thesis. Ngayon pa lang kami nagsisi-ayos. It's Tuesday and Friday's the deadline. Alam kong ang pagkaraniwang tao'y maga-ayos pa pagdating ng Thursday, but I like being early. Liz and I think ahead of time. It may seem early, but it's too soon since I have no idea about our thesis yet.

"Tungkol saan ba itong thesis natin, Liz?"

"Hindi ko nga rin alam eh, si Freschie may alam, siya yung sinasabi ko sayong makikipag-kita tayo."

"Sino nga siya ulit?"

"Nate, ano ba? Makakalimutin ka ba talaga?"

"Pasensya na, ganito talaga ako.", I chuckled.

"Freschie June Cobalto?", Liz looked at me with a raise brow

"Yun! Naaalala ko na siya."

Freschie is my crush. She's semi-blonde and her entire figure is quite American. The only Filipino thing that can be found in her is her attitude. She's completely fluent in Filipino. The most shocking part is, she's purely Filipino. Not what people think, hindi siya ampon. Even her parents are purely Filipino. 'How did they have such a beautiful daughter?', I always think. Even her name has America embedded in it. I'm just purely amazed about the thought. She also speaks English but it's only when she needs to.

"Naalala mo siya dahil crush mo?", Liz stated with a giggle.

"Hindi, nakausap ko lang kasi siya kanina, nanood din siya ng Dawn Of Talent."

"Huh, bakit di ko siya nakita?"

"She's on the other side of the venue. Medyo malayo-layo, but she still saw us."

"Pano ba yan, andyan na siya."

"What?"

Lumingon ako at nakita kong si Freschie na naka-bun. First time ko lang siya nakita magpalit ng hairstyle. Madalas lang kasi naka-lugay siya.

"Hi guys!", sabi ni Freschie

"Hi Freschie! Nadala mo na ba yung mga kailangan natin?"

Nananahimik lang ako, as if talking to her wasn't actually necessary. However, I shouldn't be like that. Ka-grupo ko siya at kailangan naming mag-tulungan. I'm probably like this kasi I'm still stunned by all of the things I thought about earlier.

"Oh, Nate?", told Freschie, "Bakit naman ang aga mo ngayon? I'm not used to seeing you come this early."

Narinig kong umuubo si Liz, in a sarcastic way. That doesn't usually mean it's supportive, but I took it that way in particular.

"Liz naman. Keep on researching about our thesis."

"Paano ako makakapag-usad kung hindi ko alam kung ano ipapag-laban ko?"

"Tama na hugot, Liz.", katawa-tawang sinabi ni Freschie.

Liz is usually like this. I got used to it. It's a great factor in having friendships. Get used to someone's good or bad qualities. That way, you'll understand each other better.
