-----Cafe Regret----

I don't always go out and eat, but when I do, napakasarap ng pagkain. Evan, Miina, Pam, Alex, and I went to SM Dasmariñas to eat at Pizza Warehouse. No matter where I am, I still crave for American food. Hindi nakasama yung iba because of some reasons. I heard they have good pizza, I think?

"What are you guys gonna order?", told Evan. Thankfully we brought a rich kid with us. I didn't bring that much money this afternoon. Miina is starting to look, hungrier than usual. Maybe she hasn't tried American food before. Which is odd, because there's American blood in her. "Have you tried American food, Miina?", I asked. Miina seems like she's salivating thrice as much. It's a disgusting fact, I know. "Nate, I haven't tried any of this stuff before.", she implied. It came to a shock to me but it gave me the answer the question in my mind.

Pam seems to look at her phone more often. I didn't mind until she told me, "Nate, pwede mo ba akong samahan sa Buku-Buku?", I didn't hesitate because I've heard of the Cafe before, it seems nice. I nodded. "Saglit lang kami guys, siguro may kailangan gawin itong si Pam.", I pleaded. "Sige, habang naghihintay kami sa order namin. Mukhang tatagal pa kami dito.", Evan told us.

After quite a walk we reached Buku-Buku. I peek into the windows and, I was stunned. "Are you kidding me?", I whispered to myself. Pam dragged me in and to no avail, Dianne saw me.

What the hell is Dianne doing here?

"Bakit mo siya dinala dito?", Dianne told Pam. "Para naman magka-ayos naman kayo.", Pam told Dianne, like it would actually happen. "Never in hell.", Dianne and I told Pam. What's up with her? I would never know. She probably has that time of the month. 322 years and I wouldn't know what that is? That's madness.

"Oh Pam, ito na yung hinihingi mo.", then Dianne gave Pam an envelope. I notice a mark of a hornet, which I don't get. I wouldn't actually care because I think it's a project for something? I wouldn't really know. They're young, why would they join a Sorority? "Don't tell anybody about this.", Pam told me. This shit got intense all of a sudden. Why would they keep this a secret? It's a damn envelope!

"Pam, how do you know that this guy is trusted?", Dianne told her. I keep secrets a lot. I mostly forget them, which is what my friends like. Deep, dark, and disturbing secrets, however, may be more likely to be stuck in my mind. What am I even saying?

"Nate, tara na.", Pam told me as she quickly dragged me away from the cafe. "Pam!? What's the matter with you? I haven't even got a cup of coffee yet!", I told Pam. "It's for your damned safety, Nate. You don't know what we're doing."

Now I think they're in a damned sorority.

Once we came back to Pizza Warehouse, we finally got the orders. One thing is stuck in my mind, however. There's something about Pam that I don't know. I hope it's not something big.

After we've finished our lovely meal, we went outside the mall. The others got in their respective jeeps. Which fortunately, me and Pam are going to the same direction. Going to Imus. Pam lives in Istana whilst I live in Greengate. Manolo lives in General Trias. The others live in other parts of Dasma.

Once Pam and I went into the jeepney, here comes the interrogation.

"Pam, can I ask you a little something?", I asked.

I got no response. She's really keeping this a secret.

"Pam, pwede mo ba akong kausapin, please?"

I still got nothing.

She's staring into the distance, like she was in deep thought. I know she doesn't like to dive into serious and open conversations, but unlike this way. This is way too unusual. I don't like any of this at all.

"Pam, for the third and last time, may gusto akong itanong sa iyo. Please, just tell me this. I will keep it a secret, I promise you. You're my friend and I'll never let you down-"

"Okay! Okay, sasabihin ko na!", she interrupted me.

"I'm in a secret youth organization. Midnight Hornet is the name. We are a group of different young individuals to discover and track unusual happenings. We're more widespread than you think. Three people in De La Salle, Eight in CAVSU, Five in EAC, Six members in APEC, who are spread out in 3 different branches, and we even have a few in UST and FEU."

"Oh, oh my.", I told myself unconsciously. That's shocking! So that means Dianne is in this? She's the one who gave the envelope to Pam! That's quite odd, I might add. That just gives me more interest in her.

"What have you done as a group?", I asked.

"Hindi na kailangan sabihin yun, you got what you've asked for, just stop.", she implied.

"Not even the simple things, Pam?"

"Alright, this only. We're the ones who started organizing the Dawn of Talent. It was us until an actual manager went and bought our event. I didn't wish for it to happen. Its main objective was to find out more about what happens during the night, that's why it's set late in the evening.", she told me even further.

I guess that's how Dawn of Talent was made for. I was gonna ask something else until we realized we're already about to hop off the jeep.

It's a very unusual thing to happen, to know something about a secret organization.

"I'm counting on you Nate. Umaasa ako na sana sa atin lang ang pinagusapan natin.", she told me. I'm pretty glad that not a lot of people were in the jeep with us. The others were wearing earphones, which is good news.

"Yes, Pam. Wag ka nang mag-alala. Saatin lang itong usapan na ito.", I told her.

I always stay true to my words, It's an advantage when you're friends with me.

There she goes, taking the other tricycle heading to Istana while I take the other one heading to Greengate.

These days keep getting weirder and weirder as time goes by.

I hope Dianne wouldn't mind if I know about this.
