---A Search For Destiny---

"Hypervespa, what a danger.", I told to myself.

"Mr. Summers, could you please solve this on the board, please?"

I didn't even realize it's Math time already. Thank my brain I know how radicals work.

After I solved it, I went back to my thought train and all that went around my head is the thought of why Pam has been absent for a few days. I think she's just sick, but something fishy is going on around here somewhere. Maybe my pessimism is just taking over. I should start worrying once she's absent for a week or so.

The bell started ringing.

I always can't wait for a dismissal, it's the unscheduled moment of reuniting with your other friends from other sections, a lot of precious moments happen after class.

"What's up Nate?", Evan greeted me.

"Hey! Kamusta ka na, pre?", I told him giving a high-five.

"Pre, may kailangan nga pala ako sabihin sa iyo."

"Ano yun? Huwag mo sabihin tungkol yan kay Liz?"

"Loko ka talaga Nate!", we burst with laughter, "Important matters kasi. Mayroon kasi akong napapakiramdaman."

"Evan, ipinapairal mo na naman ang pagka-paranoid mo. Grow up!"

"Hindi kasi, hindi ba-"

"HUY!", ginulat ako ni Miina.

"Grabe ka! Magka-atake ako sa puso sa iyo eh."

"As if. Wala akong ganung intensyon."

"Chill, stop ranting."

Sumingit si Evan, "May something ba? Aalis na ako."

"Hindi ah!", banat ni Miina. "Mas bagay kaya kayo ni Liz!"

"Tama, walang kami ni Miina. Close lang talaga kami.", I added.

"If that's what you say so. Sige, mamaya na lang Nate.", then Evan waved goodbye.

Over the past days, Miina and I were always thought of being a couple even though we weren't one. Sure, she's sweet and she's caring. However, that's the lucid limit. Nothing can be taken above that. What I can say about couples, however. I feel like Liz and Evan are one. I would love to see them develop in a secret relationship. It would be so interesting to witness.

After a while, Miina and I walked to the convenience store near the gate. It's a common thing we do. I save money a lot but I just keep on getting hungry. I don't usually save, but when I do, it's for something I really, really want to save for.

"What are you going to buy?", asked Miina.

"I have absolutely no idea."

"Let me guess, you would want anything as long as it's edible?"

"Yes.", I said with a smile."

"Nate Summers, you're so predictable."

"I have a lot of hidden attributes. I wouldn't know my past without someone telling me."
