Rin stood at her locker with Robyn close by. Robyn crossed her arms and leaned against the lockers, "That's all you did over break?" she asked not very amused.
Rin frowned as she placed her books in her locker. "My parents are very strict about grades." Rin informed her.
"What about your brother?" Robyn asked. "Didn't he fail a whole semester and get kicked off the basketball team?" Robyn knew of the rumors. That's what this school was well known for... Rumors.
Rin frowned even deeper. Her brother's situation was indeed special when it came to the family. He was once their golden child... Until he got mixed up with the wrong set of kids. He stayed out late, did drugs and next thing he knew... His parents gave up on him extremely quickly. They turned to Rin in hopes she would not mess up like he did.
"Yeah, he did... But I'm not my brother." Rin told Robyn.
Robyn rolled her eyes, "For real." She looked down the hall and was quick to spot Mathew making his way towards them. Robyn waved him over.
"How was break?" She asked with a slight smile.
Mathew looked tired and not so enthusiastic about being back at school. "Eventful." he told her.
Rin shut her locker and gave Mathew a large warm smile. "Glade to see you again."
"Good to see you too Rin." Mathew nodded. Mathew looked around, "Has anyone seen Kol yet?" he asked.
Both shook their heads. "The punk rock star has yet to show his face." Robyn muttered in a bitter tone. She was hands down not a fan of Kol's.
"Why? Did something happen over break?" Robyn asked with a sly smirk.
Mathew looked confused at her comment. "No." He stated, "We meet up over break for a few hours, but nothing extravagant."
Robyn let her shoulders drop. "Blah, blah, blah." She made a motion with her hand, like a puppet.
Rin shut her locker and placed her bag's strap over her shoulder. She looked at her watch and then to the others. "Well, class starts soon." She fixed her bag a bit. She looked to Mathew. "We have math together." she smiled.
Mathew nodded, "We can walk together." He smiled.
Rin liked the sound of that.
Both left after saying by to Robyn who headed in the opposite direction.
The first half of the day seemed extremely uneventful...

"I said run Naverick!" The coach boomed in a loud voice.
Kol grumbled as he continued to walk around the track. "You run!" he shouted back.
Meanwhile, Mathew and Rin were already half way around the track heading back to the coach. Robyn wasn't too far behind them, you could call her running, just a bit lazy compared to Mathew and Rin's speed.
As they caught their breath they looked back at the rest of the class. Some were already finished with the lap, while a few were still heading in.
Mathew looked out at the field and questioned Kol's motives. "Why is he walking?" He asked between breaths.
"Cus he's lazy." A voice came from behind Mathew.
Mathew jumped at the voice and spun around, only to come face to face with the school's heart throb, Jessie Evans.
"More like he's just an ass." Came another voice. Now standing next to Jessie was none other than queen bee, Lana Boleyn. Pitcher and captain of the girls softball team.
