So the first day back after a short weekend started off with a little twist. It wasn't so much as a bad twist, but it wasn't pleasant either. She really had no way of explaining it.
As her day continued on Rin had no idea how much she would see the others. Mostly just glimpses of them here or there. But she noticed Mathew a few times in the halls. He was always going the other way and Robyn was found during her lunch and study period. Kol on the other hand was hard to spot. She guessed he had classes on the other side of the school possibly.
Towards the end of the day Rin had finally finished her last class. She started to make her way to her car when she stopped spotting Mathew crossing her path in the hallways.
"Hey." She smiled.
Mathew turned her way and gave her a faint smile back. "Hey?' He nodded to his friends as they walked off without him. Not really acknowledging that he even stopped really.
Mathew thinned his lips as he looked back to Rin. "What's up?" he asked
Rin wanted to say something interesting but sadly came up with nothing. Her day was pretty normal, well almost. But she figured Mathew didn't want to hear about her encounter with Kol this morning. "Nothing really." She frowned a bit biting her bottom lip. "Got lots of homework." She motioned to the books in her hands.
Mathew could very much see the excessive amount of books. "What is that AP classes?" he asked.
Rin glanced away as she spoke, "Some. Most are the extra courses I take on the side. And then I have advance studies tomorrow..." When she looked back to Mathew she noticed the blank stare he was giving her. "It's just a lot." She tried to sound happy about it.
"Yeah." Mathew dragged out his words. "And that's only today's work." He said playfully.
Rin laughed a little as she knew he had no idea how much school work she normally does. For her this was light homework.
"You got any plans after school?" Rin tried to change the subject.
"Not really. Got my sisters to watch. But after that I'm free till ten." he smiled.
The conversation went quiet for a minute as the two just stood there.
"If you want we could go do something." Mathew started it back up.
Rin was excited about the invitation. "I can't." She told him. She already knew what her parents would say about her hanging out with others on a school night. It was always far out of the question.
They would let her brother stay out all hours of the night if he wanted to. For her, they wanted her to stay at home and study like there was no tomorrow. All because he had to mess up his life, she got placed into the spotlight for the family to continue on with their success.
Mathew frowned, "Alright, I guess I'll see you Friday then?" He gave her a bright smile in hopes to get a smile back.
Rin did smile. It was a bit fake, but none the less, she did look forward towards their next band session.
"See ya." Mathew waved as he left down he hall.
Rin struggled to wave but managed once she recaptured her books in her arms. She huffed and looked about before continuing out to the student parking lot.

"So the first day back at school wasn't very exciting was it?" Casey asked.
Rin laughed a bit. "Well that was my first day back." She told Casey. Casey motioned for Rin to look at the cameras. A small reminder as Rin had forgotten about them.
