The Devil and the Huntsman - Sam Lee & Daniel Pemberton

______-Sirius-
I stand behind my fathers desk as he sits in his chair, we are waiting for our fighters to show up for the meeting. So far Vetis, Lebara and four other demons arrived but we are waiting for the rest. I start to tap my foot as I'm waiting for Chax and Zakary. Where the hell are they? I thought annoyed. They knew the meeting started in two hours. If they don't get here soon then I'm going send someone to hunt them down. I'm not very patient, and we don't have a lot of time. Cordelia could be hurt, and we are just standing here waiting on two idiots! What's taking them so long anyways? The door finally opens and Zakary walks in, and following him is two more demons and he even has a fallen with him. What? How! Fallen don't usually help in battles unless my dad orders them too. I thought appalled. I glance at my dad to see that he's just as shock as I am. At least I'm not the only one whose confused about this.
"Zakary, why are you late?" I question him trying to stay calm.
"Sorry Sirius. I was getting more recruits." Zakary says gesturing towards the two demons and the fallen.
"Okay fine. We are just waiting on Chax." I say annoyed.
"Chax? He isn't here yet?" Zakary asks shocked.
"No. Do you know where he is?" I ask him furrowing my eyebrows.
"Just that he went to talk to someone quickly." Zakary tells me.
Of course. I know exactly who that is, but does he have to take over two hours to talk with her? What could be so important that he's taking this long to talk with her? Im hoping he's not spilling the beans about what we are doing. In my opinion, she doesn't need to know what we are doing. It's been a minute and he's still not here, okay that's it! I'm about to ask Zakary to look for him, but then the door finally opens up again but quickly this time, and Chax comes in with a sheepish smile. I glare at him as I'm not pleased that he made this meeting stall because of his lateness.
"I'm sorry Sirius! I didn't mean to be late." Chax tells me quickly.
"Yeah whatever. Just shut up and let this meeting start already." I say annoyed.
"Finally." Vetis whispers annoyed.
I glare at her before putting my hands on the desk looking at everyone. This plan has to work, it has too. It's the only plan I can think of, but it just needs to work. If it doesn't then I don't know what I'm going to do. I glance at everyone whose waiting for me to start the plan, and my chest tightens as I'm feeling like I'm missing something. I just ignore it as I stare at everyone dead in there eyes.
"Here's the plan. I want some of you to distract Alistair while some of you sneak behind him to attack. I'm going to bring some of you with me to find Cordelia, and this plan may seem simple but Alistair is tough. He's going to be hard to beat. If anyone thinks there strong enough to defeat this guy alone, then your fucking stupid. Since we only have twelve of us plus me. This will be harder, especially if he has an army prepared. So I want three to distract Alistair, three to sneak up from behind him, and two coming from either side of him. We need to make sure we catch him off guard, or we won't win this. While the ten of you are fighting Alistair, I'm going to bring two of you with me to find Cordelia. Only because who knows what he has up his sleeves." I explain the plan to everyone.
"So, your basically sacrificing our lives just so you can save that stupid girl?" Vetis snaps.
"No! The point in this is killing Alistair, and saving Cordelia is a part of this plan. As long as he doesn't have an army, it will work. Alistair's weakness is my father, so he will be one of the distractions." I tell them sternly.
