Twenty Six: Zakary

-Sirius-

I follow Zakary from the skies, and Chax caught up about five minutes ago. I don't know where he's going but I have a bad feeling about this. I want to help Zakary, but how can I if he doesn't listen to me? Fallen Zakary is hard to associate with, and so I need the Zakary that I used to know. I need to figure out how to pull him back out. There has to be a way to get the old Zakary back, but I just can't think of anything. There has to be a way to pull him back from his Fallen personality.

"You think Zakary is going to go kill someone?" Chax asks telepathically.

I glance down at Chax whose running behind Zakary while using his demon speed to keep up. I took to the air since I have wings, but Chax doesn't have wings so he took to the ground following Zakary silently. We try to not be too close but try to keep him in our view. We don't want to lose him, but we don't want to be seen yet either. We want to know where he's going first, but also without him killing anyone and hopefully without his Fallen powers developing more.

"I don't know. If he is, we will stop him before he does." I tell him telepathically.

We continue following him silently, and soon we saw Zakary slowing down. Chax slows before coming a complete stop, and he hid while I flew down and hid with him. Were hiding behind a huge thick tree, and I find it coincidence that there's a huge tree big enough to hide us both. We both then peek around to see what Zakary is doing, and we both widen our eyes to see him hitting his head. It's not one of those light taps either, it's more forceful and with his fallen strength he will more likely leave a red mark on his head. I glance over at Chax and he just shrugs just as confused as I am. I turn back at Zakary wondering why he's hitting himself so forceful like that.

"Get. Out. Of. My. Head!" Zakary hisses.

Whose in his head? Fallen can't communicate telepathically with each other until after they have their first kill. So, whose in his head and why? I came out of hiding and slowly walk towards him, and Zakary must of sensed me as he stops hitting himself. He turn towards me looking almost confused, and I noticed that his eyes are a bit lighter now. Does that mean this is the Zakary that I used to know? I wonder. I took another step towards him, but he stops me by putting his hand out. I furrow my eyebrows as he takes a step away from me, almost afraid to be near me.

"Sirius, I don't know how you or I got here but you shouldn't be near me." Zakary says lowly.

"Why not? Your our friend Zakary, and we want to help." I tell him honestly.

"We?" Zakary asks almost afraid to know the answer.

Chax then comes out and stood next to me, and Zakary stares at him for a moment before moving his eyes back on mine. He looks confused and afraid, and a bit frustrated. I've never seen a fallen like this before, but then again he's not full fallen yet. There's still a chance that he can be saved and all of our futures can be saved. I took another step towards Zakary, but he quickly moves away and I put my hands up in surrender.

"It's okay Zakary. We aren't here to hurt you, we just want to help." I tell him like I'm talking to a child.

"Help? You can't help me Sirius, I'm already a fallen. My father tossed me, he doesn't love me anymore." Zakary says straining his words.

"Zakary, you aren't a full fallen yet. You can still be saved. Trust me. You've always trusted me before haven't you?" I ask him.

Something flashes across his eyes and his eyes turns darker again. I move back quickly as Zakary jumps and lands swiftly on his hands and feet. Almost like a spider. I stare at him with widen eyes, and notice his eyes look more black than a smoky gray. I knew this isn't good, and I knew we had to hurry up and do something to help him. Zakary though, had other plans as he jumps and pushes me to the ground. My head hits the ground with a thud, but I keep my focus on him as he stares at me with hatred. I watch in horror as his mouth slightly comes unhinged, and there's tiny sharp teeth. A spider fallen? I noted. There one of the worse fallen ever. Why did Zakary turn into one of these? He would have to have a lot of rage to turn into one of these things. What could Zakary be so pissed about that he would turn into this? Is it me? Is that why he attacked me?
