Sarah's POV
Chaz and I are currently inside one of the clothing stores at the mall. "You really don't mind just standing there waiting for me?" I ask Chaz without looking up from the clothes, "No, you need something that will keep your mind off whatever is going on with Thomas and you." Just hearing his name makes me miss him. "Well than you." I pick up a shirt but only to put it back, "Sarah can I ask you a personal question?" I nod my head as my eyes rummage through the very nice looking jewelry. "How did you get mixed up with a guy like Thomas Davenport?" A smile appears on my face because a lot of people would wonder that same thing. "I didn't get mixed up with him, I fell in love with him, and before you say anything there is a major difference between the two." Chaz looks at me complexed for a moment, "How could a lovely girl lie you possible love a guy like that." I suddenly feel my anger start to rise a little, one of my biggest buttons was when people made snap assumptions or judgements about Thomas. Thomas is viewed two different ways, one being the way he is out in the public which is aggressive, bossy, cynical, grumpy, impulsive, cunning, and scary. The other way Thomas is viewed is when he is home, there he is adventurous, very affectionate in his own way, truly ambitious, sometimes compassionate, considerate, courageous, diligent, frank, generous when it comes to pole closet to him, he is very passionate behind closed doors, stubbornly persistent, always reliable, and he is also the most resourceful person that I know. "People just don't know him like I do, they just see him when he is conducting business." As I turn I suddenly see a familiar face sitting in the coffee shop across from the clothing store I am in. "Chaz, would you mind if I had a little alone time?" Chaz kicks off the wall he is leaning against putting his hands in the pockets. "I am okay with that, I will be in the food court when you are ready to go." I nod my head giving him a small smile. I wait until I am sure that he is gone before making my way over to the coffee shop. I open the door and make my way inside; the place isn't really busy but not completely empty either. I slowly walk over to the table standing in front of the person that I have known all my life. "I can't tell you how happy I am to see you." Melissa lowers the newspaper she is reading and smiles at me, "Nice to see you too." I pull her close to me hugging her tightly, "What are you doing here?" I ask pulling out the hug and sit down in the seat across from her. "I was told to find you." I look at her unsure what she meant by that comment. "What do you mean? Who told you to come find me?" Melissa gives me that tells me everything I need to know. "Thomas wanted you to find me?" Melissa rolls her eyes at me in annoyance. "Of course it was him, he is constantly worried about you, and just to let you know he is very different now that you are not around all the time." I lower my head looking at the ground, "It is really that bad?" Melissa puts her paper down before answering me, "He is very short tempered and acting rashly." I look up from the floor and into Melissa's eyes. "I don't understand if he is that miserable why can't I come back home?" Melissa shakes her head with a frightened look on her face. "You can't, Thomas still hasn't found whoever he is looking for, and he is running himself ragged just to do that." I lean back in the chair, "Has he found out anything about the Royal Ravens?" Melissa's eyes show sadness in them, "Nothing concrete, just a few things here and there." My brain was starting to go into overload with everything Melissa was telling me. I groan in ager as I slap the coffee cup off the table, "So he sent you to find me just to make sure that I wasn't doing anything I shouldn't be." Melissa gives me a sympathetic look, "he is doing what he thinks is for the best, you know that better than anyone, I am just here to tell you that he misses you, and to ask you to stay out of trouble." I scoff at her crossing my arms over my chest, "Me stay out of trouble, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black." Melissa folds her paper pushing it over to me. "he left you something." Melissa stands up from her chair giving me a huge hug, "I miss you so much Sarah, and I promise that I will try to see you again as soon as I can." I hug her back before she pulls out of the hug and walks out of the coffee shop leaving me completely alone once again. I let out a deep breath before unfolding the paper to see a beautiful looking bracelet inside, the bracelet is sliver with hearts around it, the inside of the hearts are made up of diamonds and in the center of each heart are two different colored stones. "You always manage to get me to forgive you." I mumble to myself with a simple smile on my face as I slip on the gift from Thomas, and my eyes suddenly catches a piece of paper that the bracelet was inside. I pick up the paper to see that is a note from Thomas. "Just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you always." I read the note out loud to myself, and smile an even bigger smile. I place the note in my purse right before walking out the coffee shop and making my way to food court, and when I finally reach the food court I see Chaz sitting at a table but he is alone because he is talking with two other guys.
