The crystal gems practically screamed out as the saw there friend get hit with an attack. Usually this wouldn't be such a big deal, but this attack was different. The attack hit one of Garnet's hand, the force being so powerful it knocked Ruby and Saphire out of there fusion.

However, only Saphire was present. Ruby was gone.

Amythest and Pearl were the first to run up, Steven right behind them. They looked at the ground and stared in shock at the seen.

Ruby, was shattered.

Saphire was lying on the ground silent.

Pearl rasied a hand to cover her mouth, "no." She practically breathed out. Steven put a hand on Pearl. Amythest staring in disbelief.

This gem hurt our friend. Not only hurt them, but killed them. And they were going to pay.

Pearl turned toward the person spear ready. "HOW COULD YOU!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!" Pearl screamed as she charged forward.

"PEARL WAIT!" Steven yelled after her but it was to late, Pearl was fighting the other.

"I'll get Pearl Steven. You keep an eye on Saphire." Amethyst said, Steven nodding at them.

Amythest ran up to the brawl, sending her whip at Pearl and having it wrap around the other and drag them back.

"IT'S NOT WORTH IT PEARL!"

"YES IT IS AMYTHEST-! LOOK AT WHAT THEY'VE DONE! LOOK AT WHAT THEY'V-" Pearl was cut off by Amythest hugging them tight.

"Pearl..." Amythest started to tear up, Pearl blinking at the other. "Give it a rest."

Pearl looked Amythest in the eyes before hugging them tightly. The two letted out sobs as there attacker ran off.

Saphire eventually started to wake up. The others were waiting for close by, and once she showed signs of getting up they pulled her into a hug. Saphire blinked and hugged back. "What's going on..?"

Nobody had the heart to tell her. Saphire looked around.

"Where's Ruby?" She looked at them. "Is she okay??"

The only thing the others could do was look at the ground, Saphire following there gaze until she covered her mouth.

"No..." She crouched down and picked up a shard of a Ruby gem. "Please.. No... Ruby..."

Saphire broke into sobs, the others pulling her back into a hug.

"We are.. So sorry Saphire.." Pearl spoke up.

"Yea... We really are..." Amythest replied.

The group tightened there hug, keeping each other close.
