"Cross I'm not so sure about this-" Dream mumbled, shifting a bit nervously.

"You'll be fine" Cross laughed a bit, pulling Dream a bit closer.

Hi, I'm Dream, and I can't fucking dance. I lied and said I could but my guard saw through my carefully thought through lie attempt and now I'm stuck hand in hand with Cross as he leads me through this stupid ballroom dance. Why did I agree to do this you might ask?
I'm, I'm terribly stupid for one.

CUT THAT OUT-

"I have doubts about that" Dream allowed himself to be pulled closer, flushing a bit. "Why did I agree to this-" he grumbled, very much starting to get angry at himself. How could Cross just! Do this and not worry about stepping on others feet!

"I dunno, why did you agree to this?" Cross replied, raising a brow and grinning a bit when Dream flustered more.

"I command you to shut up"

"Overruled"

"I will stab you if you say that again."

"I'm shutting up"

Dream smirked a bit at that, looking up to Cross with glee that he had won. Cross tried not to show too much amusement as he pouted, it twitching into a smile every so often.

The two thus continued to step to invisible rhythm. Dream glancing down every so often, or every time he swore his foot brushed to close to Cross' and he was this close to screaming internally because he didn't want to step on the others fe-

He blinked when Cross squeezed his hand, glancing up before his breath caught in his throat. Cross was smiling encouragingly at him, his soft smile, the smile that made him melt-

When Cross froze a bit and Dream felt a foot under his he swore he would curse himself forever for ruining the moment.

"I- I'm sorry- I-" Dream paused when Cross broke into a soft chuckle, melting a bit.

"Its fine, we can always try again"

"Yes" pause "I mean we can- now- I-"

When Cross laughed he melted even more, smiling a bit.

"Alright then you good?"

No, "yes"

Cross a brow but then just started the count again, Dream chanting and praying he did not step on the others feet again.
