My eyes opened, I found myself at a large meadow. I heard nothing but birds chirping. The suns golden ray shone over the golden wheat, that I was now surrounded by. I walked around, my socks and gloves covered in wheat.
"So familiar." I brushed my hands against the soft, dry meadow. I could hear distant crying, I walked towards the sounds. The meadow was caged by low hanging tree branches. I pushed one aside, and found myself in front of the little girl again.
"Mickinzee..?" I tried to speak, but no words came out.
"I'm in a dream?" I asked myself. I looked around more, suddenly noticing all the errors, the tree branches were not connected to trees, the sky was white, and the wind and the wheat were not going in the same direction.
I reached for the little girl, who was sobbing my name. But my hand fluttered through her, as if I was I was a ghost. I think the dream noticed how I tried interacting with her.
Black clouds rolled over the sun and the wheat disappeared, leaving the ground black. I fell backwards, the dirt where the meadow was turned into water. I could feel myself sinking into the earth. I looked at the little girl.
"You left me..." Her voice boomed, making me sink faster.
As I fell deeper into the black water, it became more stiff. I kicked and punched the stiffening water. The blackness surrounded me, my eyes shut, and I took one last breath.
I opened my eyes. I was no longer drowning, I stood. My sneakers banged against cold, metal floor. I looked around, I was in some sorta lab. I noticed the walls were changing color, and curved cell bars. I walked around.
"Where am I?" I asked myself. I was dumb to not notice it before, I was in Eggman's old machine. The, 'Death Egg.
I heard a distant cackle, Eggman's to be specific. I ran towards the wicked laugh.
I saw Eggman, his two little robots, and...me? I looked so young. I stood behind a wall, and peeked around the corner.
"LET ME GO!" The younger me screamed.
"Oh, what's the matter? Can't get back to your little girlfriend?" Dr. Eggman pouted, sarcastically.
I stomped away from the wall, and confronted of Dr. Eggman.
"Hey! You leave her out of this!" I thought I said, but I turned around and heard the younger me say it instead.
"So familiar."
