Rush Hour

Tilly's POV:

A couple days past and my parents were so busy with work so most of the time I was at home by myself hoping something interesting would happen, but nothing did. None of my friends were available to talk due to school and I was just scrolling through Netflix when I remembered I had school the next day and I would have to prepare my stuff. I throw in my textbooks and workbooks alongside my pencil case and timetable, I search up my school and look at the campus - How big are these high schools? After researching my school I place my phone on the bedside table and picked out a book from the ones I brought from the US, then I find it 'Deception Point by Dan Brown; my favourite thriller book. After reading 10 chapters I let my sleep get the better of me and fall asleep.

*The alarm goes off

I toss and turn in bed not wanting to get up, I look at my phone with my eyes barely open and the screen reads 7:30 am. I realise I have only 20 minutes to get ready! I'm gonna be so late for my first day I don't want to make a bad impression on the first day. I run to the bathroom and tie my hair in a simple ponytail and add a black ribbon - I start getting dressed I button up the white shirt, fix my tie, struggle to put the skirt on and slide on my knee high socks. I grab and muesli bar from the fridge, grab my bag and lace up my boots then head out the door. Once again I forget my phone I rummage through my bag to get the keys to unlock the door again and grab my phone. I run down the stairs not wanting to be late and as I exit I trip over a giant rock but luckily someone was there to catch me. I look up to see Jungkook wearing a white shirt, tie, black trousers and black shoes. Honestly he looked pretty cute at that moment. I didn't want our 'staring contest' to end.

"We have to stop meeting like this Tilly, are you taking the bus to school?" Jungkook says

"I'm afraid I have no choice because my parents are at work and I don't have a car yet, my only option is to go by bus" I say that while struggling for breath.

"Now you have a second option to choose from, I can drive you to school I'll just drop you off at the front office. Sound good?" Jungkook says

"Jungkook you don't know how much I wanna hug you right now, you are a legit life saver. Thanks so much!" I say to him.

"Anything stopping you?" He says making me blush, no stop Tilly don't get ahead of yourself.

We arrive at the School of Performing Arts Seoul and Jungkook drops me off at the front office, I step in the building and the receptionist greets me and asks me to sit down. After a talk with the principal I am shown around the school and am assigned to my home group 11.21. I find my locker and place my bag inside and walk to my first class of the day, up first is singing. Lunch comes around quickly and so I sit at a table and eat my lunch and I am greeted by these twins. They don't look Korean one bit and so that made me feel better knowing that I wasn't the only non-Korean at the school or even in the whole of Korea. They introduce themselves one after the other.

"Annyeonghaseyo I am Hae Won Kim and this is my sister" The girl on the left says quietly.

"Annyeonghaseyo I am Anna Kim, what's your name?" The girl on the right said loudly.

"Hi Anna and Hae Won my name is Tilly Wang and I just moved here from the states" I said shyly.

Us three both had dirty blonde hair and spoke English and Korean fluently so that was good and we had majority of our lessons together.

"So why did you guys move here?" I ask them

"Oh no we didn't move here we were born here" Hae Won said

"Yeah eomma fell in love with dad and he moved from Australia to Korea and then we came to be!!!" Anna says almost letting the whole cafeteria knowing I was here.

"What about you??" Anna asks

"I moved here because my parents got job promotions" I say

"NICEU" They say in unison which makes me giggle

"What do you want to become later on in life?" Hae won asks

"I've always wanted to be either a music producer or a dance instructor "I say

"OOOO At least you've got your life planned" Anna says

"What do you mean?" I ask

"I honestly have no clue what I want to be, Hae won wants to be forensic medical examiner. While I'm still clueless" she says

"What are you good at?" I say

"She's good at digital media, like real good. She also is great at videogames" Hae won says

"Well that's it you can be computer game developer" I say

"YESS, YES YES THAT'S GREAT!" Anna squeals.

I told them that I had to excuse myself, because I wanted to go to the dance studio and practice my dancing while no one was in there. It gets too awkward when a lot of people stare at you with their beady eyes, it sends shivers down my spine. I try to navigate my way around the different hallways and eventually find the dance studio, it was dark and quiet...Perfect for dancing!
