So... my brother learned like almost all the 'bad' words cuz he looked it up on google. He literally typed in 'what is the bad n word' and others.
So I tried to explain what they meant so he wouldn't say them again.
Bitch means female dog, ass means butt, like that stuff. My parents were okay with this.
Why he learned the words is bc of YouTube.
He learned almost every 'bad' word.
Like he would watch YouTube videos with language. He's an autistic 8 year old. That shouldn't end well. If you don't know what autism is, look it up. It's a disorder.
So through those videos he learned f*ggot.
The first time he said it was in front of my aunt. Whose brother is gay. (Technically my uncle)
I shouted 'OWEN!' Cuz it was on the vacation.
Anyway as I'm explaining the words he asks what f*ggot means.
I literally just explained the lgbtq community.
I tried to explain it simply like 'that is an offensive term against gay people. Do you know who gay people are?'
So I pretty much explained how it's how boys can like boys and girls can like girls (my parents were ok with me explaining it to him). I told him that it was completely ok for them to date and stuff. So Owen says,
'Isn't a wife better?' And I reply 'Owen, it's how the person feels.'
So he talked about how he was gonna get a wife and move to Texas. Which was really random.
And then I said, 'Owen, I'm trying to teach you something.'
So he pays attention. I log into the desktop and search lgbtq and show him the pride flag. And so I say, 'See? Look. Boys can date boys.'
I pull up a picture of Joey Graceffa and Daniel (his bf) with Joey kissing him on the cheek.
Alright, so my brothers reaction upset me a bit.
He looks at the picture and is like 'no. It's better to have a wife. They can't do that it's not right.'
I look at him a bit bewildered. 'Owen, it is completely fine for them to date.' I explain.
He's never even heard of gay people. I'm not trying to force my opinion on him or anything but I was trying to explain it saying that it's ok that boys can date boys and girls can date girls. It's a pretty difficult subject to explain so I said 'don't say that word because it's very offensive to gay people'
He understood and went downstairs after that, probably tired of hearing me talk lol.
