As Jing Yi rode on top of the white wolf, she started remembering about her previous life. She softly caressed her tails, even after rebirth she is still missing a tail.

She rubbed her tails, as she remembered the foolish thing she had done. Yue Long wanted to be powerful, he wanted to be the strongest however his very own brothers are standing in his way. He was an unfavourite sixth prince, who was always overshadowed by his younger brother the eighth prince, Fu Hao Ming.

Fu Hao Ming is 2 years younger than him; Yue long was 22 years old when she had met him. She was still a little girl who had just reach adolescence period at 16 years old. She cut away her ninth tail, and forged it into a heavenly lightning sword and gifted it to him. To make the sword, she had to suffer 3 lighting strikes for cutting one's tail, and also suffered the pain of the loss of her tail.

"What a foolish fox I was..." she said bitterly as she caressed her tail.

Even defying the heavens, she still wasn't able to recover her lost tail. A constant reminder to her of what she had gone through due to love. Too tired to bother, at this point she just wants to live a peaceful life.

As she was riding on her wolf, she could hear a loud galloping sound coming closer towards her. She quickly got off the wolf, and hid behind a big tree looking at the horse carriage.

Suddenly, a lady wearing the same purple hanfu as her flew out of the carriage. Her delicate body slammed hardly onto the ground, and she groaned in pain. She quickly got up from the ground and ran away before anyone could catch up to her.

The lady saw Jing Yi hiding behind a tree and made eye contact with her. She had a slightly translucent cloth covering her face from her nose down, she got a green jade out from her sleeve and threw it to Jing Yi.

Instinctively Jing Yi grabbed onto the jade, she looked at the jade in her hand before looking at the girl again. She pulled of the cloth on her face "Please. Thank you" she mouthed and sped off. Jing Yi stood rooted to the ground and felt completely off about the situation, she looked down again at the green jade and saw 'Jing Yi' craved onto it.

"Jing Yi Xiaojie, please get back into the carriage. Chen Lao Ye is waiting for you to return back home." A man in red and blue said as he bowed down.

"Chen Lao Ye?" She asked to confirm.

Chen Lao Ye is a grand minister that the king deeply trusted in, he had lost his only wife when Chen Jing Yi was born and due to the political struggles, he kept his daughter far away from him.

Now that she has reached a marriageable age, he decided to bring her back home. She however, had already found her sweetheart while she was away from the capital. In her previous life, Chen Jing Yi was never bought home probably because she had run away and was never found by her father.

She nodded her head as she followed after the man and climbed up onto the carriage. To Jing Yi, Chen Lao Ye is a good man who would dote on his only daughter and love her dearly. If Chen Jing Yi wanted her to take her place, she of course would not mind.
