>Bayani's POV<
I sighed as I walked out of the old fashioned theatre to find Zach in Kyri's car. She ditched me for H. She basically just agreed to go on a date with me to go see half a movie and then leave.
For another guy.
That's how you work a date. I got into the passenger side of the small red car and smiled weakly at Zach who was driving. He grinned back.
"Bayanidood! Welcome to my great car my boy!"
I laughed. "I've been in this car, Graser. It's your sisters."
He frowned. "Oh. But she can't even drive yet!" he laughed.
"I know, how old is she?"
"She's almost 18. Just hasn't bothered to get her license yet."
"Oh, she has her learners though right?"
He nodded. He kept his eyes on the road not looking at me.
"That's not the reason is it?" I asked curiously. I wasn't trying to be rude or invading but I knew it wasn't.
"She doesn't have anyone to drive with her. Our parents aren't aloud to drive and we have no other family. I'm not a good brother, and I don't help her. She's only ever drove twice. We need someone 18 years or older to be in the passenger seat when you are practicing driving, and so she can't practice. We don't want to spend money for taking that test over and over thinking that she has only drove so many times." he said quickly. He glanced at me once then we drove home in silence.
Zach parked the car and we went inside. I went to my room and he went to his. I sat on the cube for a while acting like I was afk but really, I was sitting at my desk deep in thought. I heard Kyri come into the house and run up to her room. Oh.
>H's POV<
We went into the fancy restaurant and I gave them my name as we were directed to a small booth. The waitress handed us both a menu and asked what we wanted to drink. Kyri and I both got water.
"What are you going to order?" I asked her as she looked at her menu. I looked around at all the very formally dressed middle aged couples. All the women wore dresses or long skirts. Most men were dressed fairly close to me, but looked much more.... sophisticated.
Kyri hummed a little while she though. Then her eyes lit up.
"Can we get the 'Couples Chinese Cuisine?' " she squealed. Many of the older couples looked at us like we were four. She covered her mouth and whispered, "sorry," quietly. I smiled and laughed.
"Are we a couple?" I asked, smirking at her a little.
"No! I just really want that, but I can't eat enough for a couple." she said, putting much emphasis on really and couple. I laughed again.
"Of course." I closed my menu but she continued reading.
"Wait," I looked at her across the table. "I can't eat some of this."
"Why?"
"I'm a vegetarian." she explained. "It includes ginger beef, sweet and sour pork, and chicken. Then there is vegetables and rice or noodles, and the noodles have little chicken dices in it."
I nodded. "Oh okay. We could ask for only one serving of the meets, and then get rice. Would that be fine?" I asked.
Her face lit up. "Yes, thanks!"
We decided on everything when the waitress came back. "Can I get anything for you? Appetizers, starters, refills?"
"Could we get the rustic cut house frie-"
"Two starter salads please. And may I please have a refill on my water?" Kyri interrupted me, reaching across the table to poke my shoulder. The waitress scribbled something down then nodded and walked away.
I looked at Kyri, confused. She sighed. "Since I've been a vegetarian, I've started eating healthier. I intend to get you to eat healthier too." She smirked and looked at me expectantly.
"Whatever," I muttered. She clapped and smiled.
"Yay!"
We got our salads shortly and ate them. About ten or fifteen minutes after that we got our meal. We talked and ate. Soon after we finished the waitress came back.
"Enjoy?" I nodded and she took our dishes. She came back with the bill which she set on the table.
Kyri reached for the bill at the same time as me and her fingers brushed against mine. We locked eyes and we both slowly pulled away, our fingers tracing against the table. Then both our hands shot back for the bill. I pinned my hand over it.
"Liam." Kyri said, pushing my hand off.
"Kyri." I mocked her, flicking her wrist with my fingers.
"Let me pay." she insisted. I shook my head.
"Kyri dont you know anything? On a proper date the guy always pays! And this is a date, incase you didn't notice." I say copying her from before we entered the restaurant.
She sighed. "Fine. But this isn't proper date."
I smiled at her. She rolled her eyes. "Go pay," she said pushing me slightly and playfully. We walked over to the bar at the front and I gave them the money. We walked to the dark stained windows and heard the rain crashing onto the glass. She grabbed my hand and I smiled down at her.
