Chapter 8- You Underestimated Me

>H's POV<

She didn't mean it right? She didn't mean it when she said she hated me, because right after I told her I loved her. Well, I didn't tell her I just sort of asked her. My life is so fucked up.

Kyri didn't reply. We sat there quietly, me sitting on the couch and her sitting on my lap. I still had no idea where Bayani and Grape went, but I assumed they were dropping Tomahawk off at the airport. The silence settled upon us creating mass awkwardness. She shifted herself around and looked down.

"Can we talk now?" She asked quietly.

I nodded. ''What is it?"

"Me and you. This obviously isnt an acquaintance thing between us. And I don't want to be friends with you."

My heart sank. She didn't want to be friends or anything above it? Or she didn't want to be friends but se wanted more? WHAT.

"You're my brother's friend. I didn't want to join the cube because I didn't want our Internet lives to connect! This is all wrong!" She screamed in frustration.

"You alright down there?" Zach called.

"Just fine!" she yelled back.

"Let's never do this again." she stated. "We are merely people who happen to be living in the same house for a few weeks and happen to be alone together a lot."

"Enjoy it while we can?" I asked, my realizing I was smirking. She nodded and leaned her head into me. She wrapped her arms around me and sighed quietly.

"You cheated in the nerf war,'' she whispered into my ear.

I smiled and hugged her tightly.
