Chapter 5 : Saved By The Bell

Lilly's Pov

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

WTF

I turned around and stoped my phone

Wait

Shit it's Monday

Noooooo

I don't wanna go to school😭

It's currently 6:50 and school starts at 8:00 but I have to take the bus and it's a new stop

Noooooo

I don't wanna do itttt

...

Okay fine

I got out of bed and walked to my closet, it's a walk in but not very big

I got dresses then walked out to my bathroom

I brushed my teeth, brushed my hair and straightened it even more then it was already

Washed my face and did all the other things

I went back to my bedroom and did my makeup at my vanity. As I was finishing, I made a quick decision to add two small wings

By then, it was 7:36

My bus comes at 7:40

I got up and put on my black Doc Martens

Then grabbed my black leather book bag from my desk

I left my room and walked downstairs

I slid an apple from the kitchen counter into my bag and before I walked out the door, I grabbed my key chain from the hooks

I walked out and locked the door

My stop is at the end of the street... My house is at the end of the street but on the other end

It was 8 houses, I counted as I walked, until I got to the stop

There was a couple people, three girls in a little huddle looking at the trees, and two guys

No one I knew

They all glanced at me and noticed I was new, but then they looked away

The two guys kept glancing at me though

I literally just stood in one place the whole wait

The bus eventually came, and as I was getting on, I noticed the bus driver was my normal bus driver

Then walking through I realized the familiar faces...

This is still my bus. I'm so stupid...

I walked to my normal seat and sat down

I was the first stop at my old house, so normally I would sleep on the way but now there's no point, seen as I'm now the last stop

I looked around at the people I usually only looked at when getting off

It's so loud in here wtf

Normally I'm already sleeping by now...

I reached into my bag and pulled out my Airpods

I put both in and unlocked my phone

I clicked the shuffle icon and then just looked out the window

It was honestly a pretty short drive before we got to my school

I left my Airpods in and walked into school

Immediately, I walked to my locker, which happens to be right next to Brynns

Our school designates lockers based on last names and me and Brynn have similar last names (Lilly Tanner and Brynn Tana)

Brynn always gets there first

I decided to try to scare her so I went a different way and quietly walked up to her

She was looking in her locker so I walked up to the other side of the door

When she closed it, she didn't notice me, instead she turned to look towards the way I usually come

I slapped her ass causing her to turn around

She looked pissed until she saw it was me

"Lilly!" She smiled widely

"Brynn!" I hugged her like we haven't seen each other in months

"So hows the house?" She pulled away

"Good, I guess" I shrugged

"And what about Nick?" She raised her eyebrows

"Well... he's-" I started but Brynn cut me off and finished my sentence, "-walking towards us right now." She whispered then straightened her clothes

I turned around to see Nick Jackson and Stephen Sun walking towards us...

"Lilly!" Nick said smirking as they got to us

"Hey," I smiled back

"I told you I'd look for you" he said and looked me up and down

"Lil this is Stephen," Nick said glancing to Stephen

"Hey," he nodded his head

"Hi" I feel so awkward

Then I realized

"Oh! Um, this is Brynn, my best friend" I said turning and pulling her next to me

I looked to Stephen and then Nick and they both smiled at her

"So what's up" I said looking back to Nick

"Nothin much" he replied but then the bell rang

"See you later Lil, nice meeting you Brynn" Nick said and then they walked away

Brynn went back to her locker and I turned to her again

I looked passed her, and saw Stephen turn around while walking away and look at Brynns butt

"He's checking you out" I said to her trying not to move my lips too much

But that was pointless because she quickly turned her head to him and he turned his head forward again

Nick nudged Stephens arm but they kept walking
