Chapter 15 : Eye Contact

So currently, I'm still in the Jeep

And I'm on my phone on Snapchat, Nick is next to me

He hasn't started the car yet though

"So where to next?" Nick asked looking at me

"Just home?" I looked up at him

"Alright," he clenched his jaw in such a hot way

He put the key in and started the engine

Wait, he didn't clench his jaw

Well he did

But not in a hot way...

Yeah.

I looked down at my phone when I felt a buzz

Harrison😍/ Wanna hang?

I opened my phone to reply and Nick glanced over

"Who you textin?" he asks

"No one." I say, not trying to make it awkward

"Okay. Hey, you wanna hang out when we get back to our houses?" Nick says

"Sure," I smile and look at him, "Since you were nice enough to take me to Target"

We both chuckle

"Harrison wants to know what we're doing" I say

"Tell him we're- just leave him on read" he laughed

"No." I admit I laughed a little though

Me/ Just hanging out

"Are you guys dating?" Nick says suddenly

"Umm No..." I reply looking down at my feet, I look up to his face, "Why?"

"I was just wondering. Besides, you'd be cheating on your boyfriend." he chuckled

"We aren't really dating though soooo" I laugh

We get to Nicks house and he turns the car off when we get into the driveway

We both get out I followed him through the garage door

Our houses we're similar, actually same layout just opposite...

I watched as Nick hung his key up by the door and then made his way to the couch, throwing his backpack down to the floor

I followed into the living room and sat down at the chair next to him

"So... What do you want to do?" I ask looking at Nick, who was looking at his phone

"Whatever you want," he said and then reached under his back, pulling out a remote

He clicked the tv on then went to his phone again, connecting it to the tv through Bluetooth

He started his Spotify playlist called 'Bops🚫🧢'

After throwing his phone back onto the couch, he sat up, put his hands together in his lap, bit his lip, and looked directly at me

"Soo" he smiled

"So" I said plopping my hands down into my lap, causing a small clapping noise

His eyes jerked down to my lap then traveled back up to my eyes

"Who do you have for math?" He asks

"David, why?" I slightly smiled

"I do too, wanna do the homework?" He said breaking eye contact and reaching for his bag

It's kinda cute that he asked me to hang out and now he just wants to do homework

I reached to my back and grabbed my ba-

"Oh I left my bag in your car" I say glancing around

"Oh you can go get it, the keys are by the garage door,"

I got up and walked towards the door

When I got my bag and came back in, Nick was sitting at the dining table with his binder open

I walked over and sat across from him

I pulled out my math binder and a pencil

We both started working right away, he was just starting, I was maybe half way done with the front page

After time went on, with no speaking at all, I flipped my page over and looked at the first problem on the back

"What the fuck." Nick said looking up at my paper, then flipping his "there's a back?!"

I giggled and put my pencil up to my slightly parted lips

Once again, his eyes went down to my lips

The song then changed to my FAVORITE song at the moment

I dropped to pencil on the table and looked at Nick like if he was chocolate

This song is so good of course he likes it too

"We started off as close friends" I sung
"Somehow you turned into my girlfriend" he sung back
"We used to tell each other everything" we sang together

3 minutes and 23 seconds go by and the song ended
