backstory: Maggie's dream of being a show girl started when she was young. Her father took Katherine and her to a show. Maggie fell in love and begged her father to help her get in show biz. When she was 6, Medda let her be in a show with other children. After the rehearsal, she found a little jack hiding in the theater. They soon became best friends.
Medda let her be in another one of her shows when Maggie was 14. When getting ready, one of the girls in her dressing room gave her a compliment and called her baby long legs. It clicked and became her stage name. One day before rehearsal, Maggie came in early and found Jack was painting one of the backdrops for the next show.
