"Claire! It's snowing! Look!" Matt exclaimed like a four year old as he dragged me to the window.

"It's so pretty." I cooed as I look amazed at the freshly powdered snow, where I used to live it didn't snow much.

"Nothing is as pretty as you." He whispered to me and circled his arms around my waist from behind and put his head on my shoulder.

I blushed at his comment and turned my head just slightly and kisses his cheek. I saw him grin and the heat that rose to his cheeks was the cutest thing ever! "Aw, your so cute when you blush." I giggled and pinched one of his cheeks.

He playfully glared at me and smirked evily. "Let's play in the snow!" He yelled and three me over his shoulder and ran outside.

"No! Matthew Hanes, don't you dare drop meeeee!" I screamed as he was about to drop me into the freezing snow. He dropped me and the prickling ice cold snow picked and bit at my fragile and pale skin.

"Ahhhh! It's cold! Matthew, please help me up." I begged with my hand out to reach him for help out of the frost bit snow.

"I'm sorry, babe. I still love you." He whispered to me after he picked me up and put me on his hip and I nuzzled my head into his neck for warmth from the cold.

"It's okay. I will always love you." I whispered back and kissed his neck a sweet kiss.

"You wanna go inside and cuddle with some hot chocolate, princess?" He asked sweetly.

"Yes, please." I batted my eyelashes cutely at him to make it more dramatic.

"Your so adorable." He giggled as he walked back into the house with me still in his arms and my head on his shoulder.

He set me on the couch and went to go get a movie for us to watch together. There was a knock at the door. Matt stood up and walked to the door, when he opened the door his eyes went wide.

"Matty Boy!" I heard someone exclaim. My eyebrows knitted together in confusion. I walked over and there was a man and woman in their late forties.

"Who is this beautiful girl?" The woman asked, referring to me.

"Oh, she is the bartender, she came to bring me my ID I left it at the bar. She was just leaving." Matt said as he pushed me out of the door and pulled them in. He slammed the door in my face.

Where do I go? I don't have any family. Matt was my only hope for being loved, I guess I was wrong. He doesn't love me. He never did.

I started to walk to my car so I could get to a hotel, when I was pulled back by two extremely strong arms. I hit a hard surface, I looked up and it was Matthew. I tried to pull away and push him away from me, but he was too macho.

"Don't go." He whispered in my ear. I laughed sarcastically and finally pushed him away from me.

"You just kicked me out and you expect me to stay.... where would I sleep? Who would I even be here, waiting for?" I laughed.

"Me, baby. You'd be here for me." He whimpered. I scoffed and strolled over to my car.

"Clarissa, please. Stop." He begged and ran after me. I ignored him and opened my car door.

My car door slammed shut by a manly looking hand. I turned around to face Alexander.

"ALEX! GET AWAY FROM HER!" Matthew yelled.

"I think, I'll keep her. She's pretty." Alex smiled as he ran his finger down my jawline.

"No! She's mine, damn it!" Matt argued and slapped his hand away from me. He pushed Alexander to the ground and straddled him as he started to punch him continuously.

I'm scared of Matthew at the moment, all I see is anger in his eyes, what if he gets mad at me one day and he hurts me? I didn't want any violence to come out of this. Matt stood up and spit on him before turning around and looking at me with relief in his eyes but, that soon disappeared when he saw that I was balling my eyes out.

"Baby-" He walked over to me with open arms. I stood there in fear.

"No. Don't come any closer to me, please." I pleaded and held up a hand in front of me to signal for him to stop coming any closer.

"Babe, I'm sorry. I was just trying to protect you from that." He said glaring at Alexander, who was choking up blood from his throat.

"YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HIM!" I screamed. I opened my door and started the ignition. I backed out and found my way to a hotel.

I pulled in and walked up to the front desk. "Um, can I have a room?" I asked as I wiped off the tears on my cheekbones.

"Sure, one?" He questioned.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He saw this and pointed behind me. I turned around and there stood the one and only Matthew Hanes, ladies and gentlemen. I chuckled and shook my head.

"I don't know him." I lied.

"Looks like he knows you." He commented, but I ignored it and faced forward to him. I grabbed my given key and ran to the hotel room.

Matthew would love this. I heard a knock come from the front door and I knew it was Matt. I opened it and I jumped into his arms. "I'm sorry." I whispered.

He wrapped his arms around me and carried me to the bed he laid on his back so that I was straddling him. "You have nothing to be sorry about." He smiled at me and tucked a little piece of my fallen hair behind my ear.

"I'm sorry, babygirl."
