"Just get through class, Y/N. Keep your head up." You think to yourself. You're a junior in high school. You have a lot of friends and you love your classes and teachers. Except English. You love to read and write, but you don't love who sits behind you. You hold your books close to your chest and enter the classroom. You sit in the row right in front of the last row and sadly, they sit in the last row. Calum, Luke, Michael and Ashton. The second you sit down, you hear Ashton's voice. "Hey, princess." You hate it when he calls you that. But you know if you respond, it will just make it worse. "Well someone's mad." Luke laughs. Calum high fives him and they all laugh. You just sit down and try to ignore them. Now it begins. You pull your books out and start to write down the notes on the board. You feel a poke on your shoulder. You would usually turn around, but today you don't feel like amusing them. A few moments later, you feel a poke again. And then another one. And another one. Eventually, you get fed up. "Could you not?" "Could you not ruin our fun?" Calum says. You roll your eyes. Idiots. All through class, you get poked, laughed at, and constantly called princess by Ashton. Your saving grace is the bell. As you try to gather all your books together, Michael walks by and knocks your book off your desk. They all laugh, except Ashton, who gives you a look that you can't comprehend. You pick your books up and look out the window. There are gray clouds gathering and it looks like it's going to rain. You feel happy for minute, when you remember that your sister took the car today for her and her friends. Wonderful. You get your bag, stuff your books inside and run for the door. Maybe you can make it home. As soon as you start walking, you feel raindrops falling on you. You sigh and just pull your hood up, not that it does any good. The rain gets slowly harder and you can hear the thunder in the distance. You hear a car pull up next to you and look up to see a black jeep. The window rolls down, but you can't see who's in the car. "Get in." Fuck. It's Ashton. "Excuse me?" "I said get your ass in the car." 'I'm sorry, why would I get your car?" "Because, like most people, you don't like to get soaked in the rain and would gladly accept a ride from me." You can hear him smirking. You look at the sky and realize that you don't really have a choice. Your house is pretty far and the rain is only going to get worse. You open the car door and slide in. Ashton looks at you for a second, but quickly starts the car. You cross your arms on your chest and look out the window. The situation is awkward for reasons that only you know. You've liked Ashton for long time, but you just never had the guts to tell him. "You don't have to look so pissed." Ashton says. You don't say anything. You just uncross your arms from your chest. Ashton smiles, but doesn't take his eyes of the road. Finally, after a long, awkward ride you get to your house. "Thanks for the r-" before you can finish, Ashton kisses you. You don't know how to react at first, but after a moment you pull yourself together and kiss back. You feel his hand slide down to your jean pocket and you put your hand on his cheek. When you separate, Ashton smiles. You've never seen him smile like that. You love it. "See you later." Ashton winks. "Yeah." You smile and open the car door and walk to your front door. You feel something poking you in your pocket. You stop and and fish around in your pocket until you feel a piece of paper. You take it out and look at it.

It's Ashton number. But there's something else under it.
