Tell me, how does love truly feel?
Is it as wonderful as expected,
Do you feel it through your veins and in your bones,
Does it make your heart pump faster than your blood can handle?
And does it leave your heart heavy and full,
Or is it on the verge of exploding?
Do you close your eyes and only think of the one who blessed you with this feeling?
I've noticed how love changes you when someone hurts you,
Afterwards you're left vulnerable, insecure, and broken down,
Leaving you with severe emotional wounds,
I witnessed the darkness love can hold.
Crumbled memories of what I once called love are now fading away,
I can't remember the feeling anymore, I don't think I ever will,
But that's okay.
