Chapter 9: China's on! The Grand Prix Series Opening Event!!!

Ariana sighed as she sat down and watched as some of the male skaters warm up. The women's skate was to begin after they have gone, and she is curently watching Georgi. Ariana simply smiled as she walked down and leaned against the rink. She grabbed her vibrating phone and answered it.

"Oh! Yuri! How is everything?"

'I just wanted to check on you.'

"Awe, is Yuri Plisetsky worried about me." Ariana gushed.

'No I'm not! Shut up hag!'

"We're the same age Yuri, calling me a hag does not effect me."

'Whatever. Just know that we will be watching you, so don't screw up.'

"Such encouraging words, Yuri. I will give it my all, do not worry."

'Yeah whatever, I have to go.'

"Bye bye."

'Bye.'

Ariana sighed as she hung up the phone. She then sat back down as the first skater was up. It was a skater from Thailand, age 20. His free program was good, that she will admit, she even found herself clapping along.

"An excellent performance from Phichit Chulan on with a total of 89.75"

Ariana clapped as a skater from China went on.

"Yuri, your pal is up! Come and watch with us." Mila said.

"I'm fine, I can see from here."

"The last skater from group one is Yuuri Katsuki from Japan."

Ariana perked up as she sat on the first bench, closet to the rink.

"Go, Yuuri!" She shouted, surprising both him and Victor, but both smiled nonetheless.

"The next skater representing Japan, Yuuri Katsuki."

As the song began Yuuri seductively licked his lip, which caused Ariana to blush as she watched intensly.

"Right Yuuri Katsuki us skating his first program of the Grand Prix series. The music is On Love: Eros. He has said the them for his program this year is love."

"Well he's definitely a different skater from what we've seen in previous seasons, maybe living with his couch Victor Nikiforov has helped alter his confidence, something he's always struggled with."

"He sure seems to be dilievering on the Eros part of the program."

Ariana watched as Yuuri moved on the ice with grace.

'Come on Yuuri, shown them what you've got.'

"Here we go his first jump is a triple axle."

Ariana watched as he jumped.

"Now from a spread eagle to a...triple axle! Next up his is trickiest jump a quad salchow."

Yuri jumped as he did a quad salchow and he nailed it.

"Yes!" Ariana cheered a she jumped up.

"Quadruple toe loop followed by a triple toe loop! These jumps have been flawless!"

Ariana smiled as she cheered on for Yuuri. Yuuri then brought his program to an end.
