Chapter 1: A Net And Cloth Change My Fate
????? POV:
I was in a little cove, relaxing against some rocks. I heard the "spinning" noise of something being shot, like from a slingshot. Suddenly, it was on top of me. What it is, I found out too late. A net. That's what happened to me. Let me explain. I mean, I have plenty of time here, so I might as well. One day all I was doing was trying to fix my ankle, as I said, and I was getting to a lonely part of my thoughts, deep in a conversation with my fox, Cassie. So here it is. Me, Thorn, and Cassie, arguing about things in the past. But yes, I am a fox spirit, one of the small amounts of my kind. Cassie, my fox, I found hurt in the middle of the road, and I took her home to save her. I could barely save her, but she survived, and she rewarded me by mixing my spirit with hers, allowing me to shift into a fox, have heightened senses, and I could speak to Cassie at any time, because she's in my thoughts. I could remember the day like it was yesterday. Back to what happened: The net caught onto me and my fox and I couldn't fight it off as I saw a bright white cloth as it took me away from the forest, far, far away from home. Or so I thought.
????? POV:
Picture you're in a meadow, doing your own thing, then..... BAM! Out of nowhere a net gets thrown on you. That's what happened to me. Here, I'll tell you about it:
One day all I was doing was eating the blackbird that I caught. I remember that catch as was the best snag I had done that day. At least that's what Tulip would have said. Then I got taken away from the forest and I DIDN'T EVEN FINISH THE BLACKBIRD! I mean come on how much worse could it get than that?
I wake up and see my forest!
"I'm back!" I start to run but stop, only to see my forest on fire.
"Not again!" I murmur, but then I realize that is the night Tulip died. Autumn, you idiot! It's a dream. So why is it not from my perspective? I run around seeing myself, frozen in fear.
"W-why am I here? I saw my best friend die here, I don't want to go through it again!" I try to run away but nothing from it all but something won't let me. The wind pushes me forward. I see Tulip and I running, then BOOM! I cringe, as there goes the branch that burnt Tulip. Then I see something I didn't see before. A human! Muttering something. I see dream-me racing towards her, just as I am, trying to help Tulip. I watch myself blackout from inhaling to much smoke. I see a bright blinding light, and my dream was over.
