Chapter 4

Today's the Day

Naruto's POV

It's finally here.. the day we've all been waiting for. The day we leave for our mission.

I woke up and saw Sasuke was already up. He was getting dressed.

"I'm going back home. I need to get ready and grab my stuff. I'll meet you by the gates." Said Sasuke.

I nod and saw him writing a note which he left on (Y/n)'s night stand for when she wakes up. I didn't bother reading it because it wasn't any of my business. I got up and dressed as well, I had to go home too and get ready. I decided to leave (Y/n) a note as well since I knew she'd wake up wondering where Sasuke and I was. I left the note next to Sasuke's note and kissed her forehead. She smiled a bit.

"I'll see you later beautiful." I whispered and left her house.

I was walking towards the front gates and I saw everyone there except for Sasuke.

"Huh, where's Sasuke?" I asked Sakura.

"Right here." Sasuke said approaching us.

Guess we're all ready to leave. Granny Tsunade, Pervy Sage, Kakashi Sensei, Guy Sensei, Kurenai Sensei and Asuma Sensei were by the gates waiting for all of us to arrive.

(Y/n)'s POV

I woke up and saw that Naruto and Sasuke were not next to me. I looked over to my night stand and saw two notes.

"Thanks for the awesome night cutie ;) see you later. ~Sasuke"

"This guy.." I blushed.

"I hope I was able to make your night, beautiful, see you by the gates. ~Naruto"

I giggled to myself as I got out of the bed and took a quick shower. I got dressed afterwards I grabbed a bag and quickly shoved things that I needed for this trip. As I headed out I thought of a place close by the gate to leave the bag, so no one would suspect anything.

I snuck near the gate to hide my bag behind a stand and saw that almost everyone was there, but Sasuke. I decided to wait a bit for him to show up before I appear to say my goodbyes. Finally after Sasuke appeared I went around the stand and walked over to the group.

"Alright, listen up! This mission is very important and I advise all of you to be careful and keep your guard up. Take as much time as you all need and get as much information as possible. You will not only be accompanied by your teachers, but by Jiraiya as well since he knows a bit about where you'll be heading. There is one person here who would like to say goodbye to you before you leave. After you've said your goodbyes and you are all ready, then you may leave for your mission." Lady Tsunade said as she smiled towards me.

Everyone turned around and saw me there standing, they all smiled and went up to me. The teachers stayed with Lady Tsunade and Master Jiraiya, smiling at me.

"Hey, you made it!" Naruto said as he hugged me.

"Of course, I wanna see my best friends before they go." I said as I hugged him tightly fighting back the tears.
